Troubleshoot | Can't connect to pc

When I'm not in download mode everything works fine, but I'm trying to root my phone and when I;m in download mode my pc doesn't recognize my phone.. this is starting to really piss me off..

(1) Change usb port (yes this does work sometimes)
(2) Change usb cable (yes this does work sometimes)
(3) Reinstall usb drivers

already tried all of those
Go to device manager in windows look for yellow triangle when you plug your phone into pc in download mode (to see triangle plug usb in then back out) right click on triangle select update drivers install and reboot....See if that works
Edit: Also try a older version of odin

didn't work, i didn't see any yellow triangle when i plugged it in, and the drivers are updated, i already updated them today because i thought it'll solve the problem.
