FYI, if you're not using a ICSSGS rc4 (and above) build.prop file, it will wipe your data.

If you don't want to wipe, then make sure your build.prop has the following line:

Code:
update.device.version=	4

MP

Thanks for pointing that out, small oversight on my part.

As an advocate of always wiping, I'll be removing that line from the build.prop in future kangs.

Sorry if that's bad new for anyone, but I do prefer a clean wipe.

Wiped. Formatted system. Flashed b3. Wiped. Resulted in boot hang. Had to restore backup of b2 (thank God), then wiped, flashed b3, then wiped again, resulted in boot hang again. Restored b2 again, then wiped, flashed b3, but this time no wipe, and it booted up.

B3 feels a tad sluggish compared to B2, especially when checking/un-checking options in the settings. Anyone else?

Anyways, I still love this build. Thanks Brick dude.

I am suspicious of DSPManager, when I uninstalled it, the device sped up noticeably.

Thanks MP! As I scroll the build.prop it already had the line in there

Edit: nvm misread your original post.

Same here real sluggish. Gave up and restored to Euphoria. After trying three times to refresh. Will try again on next beta. Thanks for all the hard work.

NStools : sio, ondemand, 110% 110-1320 Mhz
Developer options:Background process limit at 2 (resets after reboot)

Uninstall DSP manager and feel the difference. Going to upload Beta3.1 without DSP manager in a few minutes.

I love my bandwidth here at the office. Beta3.1 uploaded in just under two minutes.

Only change is the removal of DSPManager, I believe it is causing some system slowness.

If you're running good, you don't need to update anything. If you're a little sluggish, either uninstall DSP manager, or flash the new download.

Has anyone noticed the music player is a little sketchy with DSP? When I open up cm9 m.player it sounds crisp but when I wanna pump up the bass and go into the dsp settings, it gets muffled and bland.

I thought something with dsp manager was up to no good...
Br1ckd maybe you could push musicFX apk in the next release..
DSP is 100% constantly running in the background

Oka1, you are ****ing great man, the best! But some of your fellow mods are really getting to be jackasses, and having driven one of my good friends and newly formed team mates away, I am going to follow suit.

I'm taking all my **** down from XDA, and moving to Greener Pastures.

SubZero -- the first thing I thought of was that Arnold Schwarzenegger bomb "The Running Man". That was like the Mr. Freeze dude he had to open up a can on.

    I still like it though.

Way to bring me down, dude! lol

Mr. Freeze is one of his worst roles. lol

Okay, folks. Just unloaded from the docks. Fresh kernel crack.

    subZero v1.0 "Fatality" Build #5

Basically the same as my "unofficial" Devil v14.2 kernel. BFS, SIO/Conservative by default. Many tweaks since then, though. I'll probably make separate thread for it all.

    New in this release:
    - New name. New bootsplash.
    - BLX v1 (Battery Life eXtender)
    - Fully functional CWM v5.5.0.4 with working ADB, USB, and Nandroid.

    * Still no DeepIdle. I'm not convinced DeepIdle does anything for conserving battery, and may be the cause of the lockscreen issues (unresponsive, freezing, or death).

** GPS is still touch-n-go. It may work for you. It may work coming out of deep sleep for you. Or it may just be problematic, and require reboots, and other GPS tweaking.

    Anyway, here it is.

Let me know if you find any bugs. I personally haven't experienced any crashing, but that doesn't mean it won't/can't crash. No kernel is perfect.

    Enjoy.
