alarm notifications

this looks to be a pretty smooth rom. are there any patches out there to expand on the alarm notifications. the only options are silent and cesium? i need a very obnoxious alarm to rouse me from my slumber and cesium damn near lullabied me back to sleep!

Is there any reason why conservative governor makes the launcher smoother than on demand, at least for me. Both clocked at min. 384 Max 1.5ghz. Which governors are you guys using?

I use conservative and its smooth as butter, even at 810 Max.
I'd be interested to hear other setups as well...

Interesting. Which CPU program are you using? I am on system tuner. However, i feel that it takes up a bit of resources than programs like SetCPU, given its multitude of functions. Thinking of a change.

I use no frills, it at 13 hours on an amaze battery right now, 36% remaining, tho wifi is eating it up

Edit: nix that I used power save and deadline with no frills all day

No frills doesn't have the function to set screen off profiles :( I normally set screen off at 192mhz with powersave governor and this gives me really good battery life. Setcpu has the function but it leaves both cores on.

When the screen goes off no frills goes to 384, that paired with its small footprint gives the best battery life I've come.across

I'm still on 0.8:) Is it confirmed that wifi hotspot in 1.1 does not work for everyone? I need this feature...

Kris here is my little appreciation for all you're doing to our phones.

Please note guys, super wipe is not needed only if your are coming from 1.1. I see that some users are coming from 0.8 or 0.6, and these users will need a super wipe. Cheers!

23rd March 2012 - Message from the developer here

I believe that our Sensation can do a lot more / be a lot faster / and therefore we can be more productive than with the Sense ROMs.

CM7 for the Sensation is not there yet, so without further ado, I present a ROM with Sense, but with everything working that is needed (excellent Camera, SD card speeds just fine, etc)

I also like to customize my own apps in a given ROM, so any simple/minimalistic ROM is a plus for me.

I therefore present to all who like this approach my very own HyperNonSense ROM release, built from scratch by me.

    - Extras and other links (ie. kernel, addons, etc) in post#3
    - FAQ and themes in post #4

    What you get:
    - Simple, minimalistic ROM to be a good base for your everyday needs (those who like every app to be in there "out-of-the-box" should steer clear)
    - Tweaks to make battery life even better
    - Tweaks for the camera to take pictures without compression
    - Always updated base to keep your flashing appetite full :)

    Credits:
    - thanks to kevin here at XDA for Nova Launcher
    - thanks to capychimp for the APM
    - thanks to Schnizlon for the ICS AOSP theme and tweaks
    - thanks to nitr8 and insanity ROM (SGS2) for the ideas and a couple of icons/theme images

    ROM Releases

    1. When you are finished setting up the device, do a normal reboot and then you will have normal operations!
    3. I have deleted a number of apps so that the ROM can be as lean and minimalistic as possible. If you find you need any apps that I have deleted, go to post #3 (Addons and Extras) and you will most likely find the app you need there! :)

    Dear All,

It is with a very sad heart that I am writing this message.

It has been an excellent few months now with a great crowd here at XDA and I have grown very attached.

But life is changing, and so are the circumstances. I will be moving to a new company, a new job, but most of all, even a new country. Hence I can not keep maintaining the XDA threads, the ROM, or even cooking/devving.

I say goodbye to all of you now, and if anyone wants to continue what I have started, please PM me.

All the best, and keep up the teamwork which is exceptionally great here at XDA,

    Kristof
