@ All curious to use my kernel
http://d-h.st/3UP

My main objective, keep it light, keep it simple.
Only Smartassv2 added and none others
Only SIO added and none others.

other basic things like, write protection, ksm, swap are there. Not sure about init.d support.

Regards
Yasir

I like your "style" my friend! Keep things simple is, sometimes, the best way to avoid bugs!
I'll test it ASAP and report any bugs (if there's any) I find!
Have a great day!

Thanks for your great effort.

Here is my findings :

Features:

1. HTC Write protection disabled.
This works great ;) Removed both wp_mod2.ko & init.d script to load it... I can confirm the HTC write protection now disabled.
Updating busybox with no problem :D

2. Enabled swap support. (if you make a swap partition, it should get used. But need testers)
I don't need this feature, so I don't test it.

3. Default scheduler "noop" (I've always liked noop better then all others)
"noop" as default is shown in the attached screenshot

4. HTC perflock disabled (SetCPU does some magic when perf lock is disabled. Test n report)
No idea how to test this

5. Default Min set to 245 Mhz (My liking)
I like 245 Mhz too but I don't see it in both No Frill and CPU Spy (see attached screenshot)

6. Enable KSM support
Don't really need it but will test later with my old KSM init.d script

7. Default governor "ondemand" (later you can select whatever you like e.g
smartassv2)

"ondemand" is shown as default.

8. Ext2/ext3 file system support. (testers needed)
Don't need this so I do not test

9. Aren't above enough ???
Well... it's enough for now... maybe later s2w feature ? Maybe you can contact maxwen (One V kernel dev) for assistance.

I maybe wrong but I see that the init.d support is not enabled in your kernel. All the above test I ran it with my own ramdisk.

running ex4 on mine so ext2 and 3 should work runnng prototypes kernal though will test with this on weekend

I am testing the JB kernel for one day now and it's perfect.
Good performance with smartassV2 and CFQ and no bad responsive power button or black screen.
Perfect work :good:

Glad to hear..
In new version,
I'll only add things which I personally want and won't give too many choices.

I want to remove the crappy governors and schedulers which no one uses. So need votes for that.

Plus, I need some benchmark scores here in this thread which I need for reference and future comparisons.

Does this kernel supports 2 way call recording? Or is there any other kernel for desire x that supports that?

Thanks

Guys
New release
http://d-h.st/zuB

Version 2
1. Added "BFQ Scheduler", my favourite
2. Added experimental GPU OC

Recommended settings for max performance:
GOV=SMARTASSV2
IOSCHED=BFQ
MIN=245
MAX=1000

Features will come at a crawling pace, because i want to make every release BUG-FREE. Stability is first priority, features is last.

Tested ... no comment ... as usual, just great :D

Can I use this kernel as main kernel for my ROMs ? Say I put it as Boot.img_Installer_RC4.0.zip as I added in init.d support and some services clean-up. As usual, credit, link and source file will be included.

Go ahead please .

A great feature is in the lab, but I'm failing at a point repeatedly. Hope it works before weekend.
Gpu oc might be a placebo but I think I got these in antutu
ONLY GPU SOLO TEST.
normal 2015

Its a placebo as of now... With some nice IC we can get 3500, 2500+ is marginal.

Ok. But overclock isn't a priority. I'll remove the gpu oc table. Learning pll4 overclock.

Actually its a priority ive been working on it since few days landed up with same condition ie. Placebo

It is priority because I hate lag in games.

Low battery- camera flash restrict

Is there any way to disable camera flash restrict when battery is under 15%? Usually camera flash and flashlight app are restricted when battery is under 15%, but with this kernel v.1.0 flashlight app works untill 10% and camera flash is limited as usuall, so i get it has somthing to do with kernel?

This is not related to kernel, the apps are made like this, use 3rd party apps they work.

    Behold...V3 is LIVE.

    Feature/Changelog:
    1. FAST CHARGE toggle

    Background:
When you connect Phone via USB cable, it charges using 0.5A current by default
When you connect Phone via Wall charger, it charges using 1A current by default

    What this FEATURE Does???
Ans: When you are connected via USB, the current drawn is 0.5A by default. but when you activate FAST_CHARGE, the Phone thinks the USB cable is AC adapter and draws the current as if it was AC charger hence charging your phone faster.

    How to toggle???
Using terminal/adb to change value of this "/sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge" to "1". Change to "0" to turn it off.
    Using a Play Store app e.g. "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.org.winters.android.gnfastcharge&hl=en"

    SEE ATTACHED PICS FOR REFERENCE.

    Is it Safe?
Yes, coz the laptop USB2.0 and above can Easily give out the required current and you are not super charging, just using what AC adaptor gives, so phone wont be damaged

    Are you SURE its safe??
NO, im not sure... Like everything in the world, it could go wrong. Damage your battery, usb port, or Phone itself. So dont come crying to me. Please.

So Enough talking, where is it ???
http://d-h.st/84i LINK UPDATED, first release was bugged, this is ok

    PROCEDURE TO USE:
    1. UNPLUG ALL CABLES.
    2. TOGGLE using script or Play Store APP to turn fast_charge ON
    3. CONNECT Cable

    PROOF:
Some might think its just a value spoof, however see the this value while fast charge OFF, and again while ON.
    "/sys/devices/platform/msm_otg/msm_hsusb/gadget/chg_current"
Its value changes on AC adaptor and USB cable.

Have a nice time. I need DETAILED REPORTS comparing charging time using fast charge and without it on USB cable.... plus compare AC adaptor charge time with Fast charge enabled USB cable.

Guys i have the best feature yet to be announced for our beloved Dx User.

    SWEEP2WAKE is HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No freezes from the day you released :p Happened just today that some invisible touches were happening when I unlocked my phone, I checked no oil/water drop on screen...

those are not invisible touches i think.... the sweep vector extends and release function is triggering a bit late.
The normal length of vector unlocks the phone, but the remaining extension causes the phantom touches. I'm working full time on fixing this.... dont worry. either the bug will leave, or i will:silly:
