[Q] Repair/Replacement under warranty after software and hardware mods/damage
So I have my Nexus 4 for over 6 months and have it rooted, put roms on it etc. and then it starts to have issues where the charging won't work unless the cable is positioned right, of course I decide to ignore it and keep on using the device. After awhile I make some stupid mistake while changing system files and need to reinstall android but when I load recovery I realize I don't have a working backup and the usb also won't transfer data for a sideload. Now of course I got even stupider and decided to open my phone and I stripped a screw (battery bridge) and it got a bit mangled before it came out, now realizing going any further could damage my phone more than so far I stopped and put it back. I decided I'd have to send it to LG (though I may be able to fix it myself, now that I have decent tools) but since I have no android I can't lock the bootloader or delete the custom recovery and I'm missing a battery cover screw. Basically, what should I do? I could send it in as-is, send it in with a new screw (would cost money and time), but it also has a minor crack on the back glass. Basically anyone who's sent in a phone with custom software, internal damage/modifications, or a cracked back please tell me what happened with the repair/rma, did you get a replacement?
