i like tw phone app in notifications drawer during calls
i was disappointed in battery life and overall frustrations getting things to work in beta 3
i'll probably try a cm9 variant soon though to check on progress.
180 rotation is pure awesome and i'm glad to hear its in cm9 now.

CM9 has had 360 degree rotation for a while, customizable too. Apparantly, battery has gotten better recently. That last one, not sure about. I never left a call while I was on CM9 lol

I don't even care. Sticking with ICS since CM9beta1... just works too well to go back...

it doesnt work

the built in player doesnt even play a 720p mp4 file from youtube

mx player says the hw decoder isnt supported

The encoding that the file uses is not supported in AOSP. If you take a galaxy nexus, you would be unable to play the same file. You can stick with touchwiz if you want... your choice.

Errrr... I think beta 1? wasn't that the first ICS release? Whatever...I'm not switching back, 4.0 is way too cool....

We're up to Beta 4 and official Nightlies. If you're on Beta 1 your on an oudated version that doesn't include a lot of the new fixes, enhancements, features, performance tweaks, and battery fixes.

I just recently rooted and went to the peoples rom. I looked really hard at CM9 but there still seemed to be a number of issues - camera, battery (hit and miss, didn't want to be the one to miss) among others.

Instead of looking at what's fixed, what's broken? Maybe that will help make the decision a little easier.

I just upgraded to CM9 RC1 from CM9 Beta 2. Beta 2 was great, but RC1 is awesome - those involved in making it happen have done a great job!! I think it's less laggy than the beta. I've had it lock up once, but I think that's because I had my phone OC'd. No major issues to report since I backed off on that. The plus is that I can now get WiFi tethering to work, the minus is that I still can't get the phone to connect to my computer via BT. No biggie, since I rarely need to do that, but thought I'd mention it as it is a downside.

EDIT: I can get it to connect via BT to my laptop, but not to my desktop. Both are on Win 7, laptop is 32-bit, desktop is 64-bit. On my laptop, Windows can't find the driver for one of the 3 BT devices, I assume this for file transfer. Any help?

EDIT 2: Just remembered, I'm also running ShadowKernel. Voodoo Color is a MUST have.

Ive had 2 versions of aokp, build 39 and 40 and have always had problems with auto rotate. Dont know if its my phone(most likely) or the rom. Had the stock kernel and now run nyan colonel. Have done clean installs more than once.

Please share what is preventing you from using ICS roms. The Cyanogenmod developers for the Epic do not know what to fix unless you tell them. Currently I feel that CM9 is fully working for the Epic and have not run into a bug. It feels more stable than a stock ROM to me.

Please try to reproduce the issue on a clean CM9 (latest version) without a custom kernel and after wiping data before posting.

I'm new to this so bare with me I recently rooted and am running cm9 beta3 and the reloaded update but right after the reloaded update I'm not able to access mass storage when conected to pc and on phone I get "unfortunately ui has stopped" any suggestions!

Don't use reloaded then. Run cm9 the way the devs built it.
