well i gotta check it out, i just read that after i posted. but i can still see what the difference is. you bassically have 2 halves of a transformer but i'm sure the inductance value, frequency and winding ratio are all different. i might be able to modify the circuitry as, or more easily than the hardware and end up with something that looks proper.
edit: i think i'm gonna cancel the order.. i just read a little about the design specs and while i'm sure i can build a working transmitter there are things i didn't think about like inductive heating of near by metal (like those cook tops they sell on the infomercials, or the melters we use in the foundry). there can be more to the design of the controller than i wish to get into. making the phone charge is one thing but making the charger detect the phone so it doesn't kill battery and also detect near by metal objects is another.
