I've had my note for almost 2 months now and in that time, I haven't seen anyone mention this issue before. Sounds like you had a dud. The TF101 was actually my first tablet. Loved it, but it was eventually time to move on. I upgraded to the TF300T and had two of those tablets burn up on me. Asus makes a good product, but seems to have alot of quality control issues, also with the transformer prime nightmare. So i jumped ship to the Samsung and got the Note 10.1. That was a great tablet until it was stolen
So I moved on to the Note 8 for better portability and love it.
