I've been using zen for screen on with ktoonservative, and for screen-off I have noop instead of zen. Pretty good battery life, but I also undervolted quite a bit. pressed -25 down the line 5 times haha, so the minimum voltage is 800mw and max is 1075. It may have bootlooped if I didn't underclock but since I have the max frequency at 1134 and the min at 378 (still 800mw also) there's been no reboots and very smooth.

Yea, I am using ktoonservative as well. Are you saying you undervolted by 125mv across the board? I just want to make sure I'm reading that correctly...

Yep exactly... Might not be stable with some phones, so just in case don't set it to load on boot until you're comfortable with it. Also I changed the min frequency to 378 and max to 1134 so that's probably why I haven't froze up yet

Correct if I'm wrong but this is the older 3.4 kernel, not the latest with all the updates? Kernel version date show 4-17? Thanks. I'll flash tomorrow if no answer :)

Build 4.1

SlimBean 4.2.2 build 4.1

I know we normally don't do this kind of thing, but given the circumstances with the CM display updates and the fact that new kernels would not be compatible with build 4, we pushed an update to address that. You shouldn't have to do a full wipe to upgrade from 4 to 4.1. Obviously if you have nutty issues then wipe, reproduce & let me know.

Changes:
  • Display and Audio CAF updates (CM)
  • Loads of kernel updates
  • SlimIRC nickname pop-up fix
- Download build 4.1

I've also been providing you guys with an "addon" kernel. It's based entirely off CM's stock kernel with a few extras. The build 4.1 addon kernel has the following:
  • Latest CM changes as of 04/20
  • Minimum 192mhz frequency
  • Added governors: wheatley, lulzactive, dancedance
  • USB fastcharge
  • Vibration control (Settings -> Performance -> Vibration Strength)
  • Faux sound control
  • morfic/trinity colors
It's a kernel for people who don't want anything too fancy, just a little something extra.

- Download build 4.1 addon kernel

The source is on my github here. Thanks to ktoonsez and GideonX!

Same here.. Somehow had better battery life and no reboots on 4.0 as apposed to 4.1

Even though 4 worked fine for me I went all the way back to 3 because of 3.0 instead of 3.4 kernel. That way I can use faux kernel with intellidemand.

I see.. I'm sticking to 4.0 because I'm using ktoonsez so 3.4 doesn't make a difference for me atm and the latest build is supported

Out of curiosity did you guys use any of the updated 3rd party kernels along with Slim 4.1? The kernels that come by default with the update aren't completely stable for some. That may or may not be the cause of the reboots but usually flashing one of the updated kernels has been known to fix any flickering or reboots for the most part. Regardless on whether or not it fixes things for you it is still a possible solution that is worth testing out.

i've been using the "addon" kernel he posted with build 4.1 since last night with no issues. This is with a full wipe. My first experience with a 3.4 kernel a few weeks ago was dreadful with constant freezes so I was a little hesitant but haven't had a single issue with this combination. Battery seems not so great so far but still too early to judge.

I was using the add on kernel with 4.1 and was getting reboots.

One sure fire way to get my phone to reboot was to try and use snap chat. Rebooted every time consistently.

This happened to me before I realized I forgot to remove other audio mods I had installed. Remove or backup Awesome Beats and any other audio mod you may have installed, reboot, and it should work fine. You may have to wipe your cache though.

Hey guys, if you're suffering from flickering here's a flashable zip fix. This zip is supplementary to the 4.2 build and only replaces your build.prop -- it is not a full ROM.
