Thanks for the tip, but no dice. Tried it twice and it made no difference. No biggie, I can't certainly deal with a minor inconvenience for now.

On another note, getting random restarts. I know others have mentioned it, but I haven't seen anything specific about what may not be getting along to cause it. Any theories?

random restarts? i havent seen it myself and i'm pretty sure I haven't seen any posts in this thread about it bro. i think you must be talking about another rom. :D

Is it just me or did the option in camera to have power button for shutter go away after the 4/02 update?

Wow!!!!

This is my first AOKP experience and I'm in love. Here's my disclaimer: This is not to knock other developers or their work b/c I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you....but this is hands down the best ROM I've ever had on my phone to date. Haven't had any issues whatsoever. I have read most, if not all of the thread, so I will wait patiently for little quirks to be ironed out. Thanks so much for this awesome piece of work!

This rom is more stable than the att stock rom. Amazing, now if my battery was a little better I may never install another rom. Well we all that's not true but that's the only thing I am having an issue with.

It's ROMs like this that ensure that I never run stock again. The moment I got this phone home to my computer, I was rooted and running custom ROMs.

I get superb battery life, so I'm not sure what's up with your setup. Have you checked the battery stats to see if it's a particular app drinking up the batt juice?

I don't see how anyone could go back to touch wiz or gingerbread after tasting ice cream sandwich

I go into Task Manager via long-hold on Home several times a day. I've had situations where the phone wouldn't respond to much else, making that feature critical. Last I knew, this ROM doesn't support going into Task Manager via that method... has this changed yet? (I believe this is separate than the long-press to bring up recent apps, which I've already read plenty about).

I'm still on GB, but following progress on this ROM closely as the last critical issues get addressed since it'll probably be the ICS ROM I move to once I take the plunge. But this can be an example of why someone might "go back to Gingerbread after tasting ICS" if critical features aren't working yet (such as video recording and playback, also a deal-breaker for me but happily has now been fixed)

Note: I have tasted ICS, as my Xoom tablet has been on 4.x for a while now, recently updated to 4.0.4

until the major bugs are worked out. :D

What would you consider to be the remaining "major bugs"?

And just a side note/comment:

As someone who has not only moderated forums before, but actually run some, I know how frustrating it is to not have people search/read before posting. However, it'd be a lot easier for people to keep up if others didn't misuse threads as Twitter replacements, PM/email replacements, IRC/chatroom replacements, etc. ;) This thread balloons several times bigger than it needs to with pointless short posts and off-topic chit chat (jokes/sarcasm, music, Maine, cars, etc). New users will frequently get flamed for posting questions in the "dev" board and not the "Q&A" section, and yet constant off-topic banter is allowed to persist in these very "dev" threads. I'd suggest using PMs, emails, and chats when appropriate, and keep the thread on-track in order to give everyone else as concise and useful of a thread to follow and search as you can. The easier the thread is to follow, the more people will do exactly that. ;) (And if you have to pad your post with "10char" maybe it's not even worth posting). I frequently see entire pages with not a single on-topic contribution to the thread.

Just some thoughts from past experience. ;) Cheers... and thanks (ahead of time, I'm not using it yet) to all involved in making this ROM more-awesome by the day...

It appears you can customize long-press home button to run whatever app you choose (like Task Manager), see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLDokgQe0PA

Except that's either/or... I still use long-press of Home to switch among recent apps. I'm hoping that eventually we can have recent apps and the button for Task Manager, as I do now on 2.3.6

(If there's some other secret method of jumping to Task Manager in ICS that always works even when the phone is being stubborn/unresponsive, do let me know as that could be an ok substitute)

Maybe I'm missing it...

I can't find an option to toggle sound via USB when docked (or whatever that option was called). I figured it might be part of the Galaxy Settings that was added back today, but I don't see it there either.

Can this be added? Otherwise I have to go back to a TW base. Thanks!

Well since the op says:
"Bugs List is at the Bottom of this post. READ IT!!!".... then I would assume they would be listed at the bottom of the OP. I'm surprised you being and ex forum mod missed that...Not trying to be a ****, but you kinda just proved that everyone is just posting without reading and this question is unnecessary as are many other of the same questions. It's not the banter that's cluttering up the thread.. if anything the banter is keeping us sane, what's cluttering up the thread is the countless posts saying "why is my external card mounted as emmc", "My capacitive lights arent working", "recent apps isnt working" all of these posts have been posted over and over and over again. I know the talk of recent apps, cap lights started somewhere around page 70ish and pretty much has been talked about on every page since as well as the recent apps, yet the thread continues to get overfilled with people posting about the exact same crap, I mean they dont even read 1 or two pages back. If they had, their question would have been answered 2 fold and they wouldnt of had to post.

A Big Thanks Goes to the AOKP Team, CyanogenMod Team, and Entropy512!!!

If you have any problems after flashing this ROM read the line below...
Preemptive Task650 answer - "Full wipe and reflash, now F*ck off" *jthatch12*

    ALSO READ THE 2ND POST!!!

1.) If ANYONE asks a question that's been answered in the FAQ or OP, DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR POST. (It should hopefully force them to search)

2.) If ANYONE trolls this thread. DO NOT RESPOND. Me and Red5 will take care of it. (Leaves less cleanup for Red5 and we keep a clean thread)

3.) Leave personal opinions of each other out of this thread or do that stuff via PM.

4.) Have fun in this thread. As most of you know I like to joke around and keep things light. Not everything can be development related. It takes the fun out of these forums.

If we can all just do these simple things I'm sure this thread will get back to where in needs to be. More people including myself will actually like coming into this thread.

Great auto brighness settings (custom backlight settings):
***** Make sure your Exynos Sensor is set to "Open Source" in xxTweaker General section *****
*****WARNING: If you apply the setting before adding ALL the values, you'll have to do a full wipe. *****

To set the minimum value to something lower than 20, set the "Screen Dim Level" to the lowest value that you want. I would not go below 12 though!
Here is a flashable zip that will set all these values:

If you experience a slow response from the screen turning on when recieving a call do:
    1. Open Phone Dialer
    2. Press menu key and click Settings
    3. Click Ring Delay
    4. Click Ring Delay Off
    5. Done

    Re: [Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2) | Task650 (3.13.13) AT&T

So the sgs2 took quite the beating today (or maybe last night). Considering its been my back pocket phone these last couple weeks while I've been testing these releases it must've fell out of my pocket last night or this morning in my parking garage. Looks like I ran over it. Not only once, but twice. It has been sitting in a puddle on top of all that. Looks like it put up a pretty good fight though. lol. It was a pleasure having it. But nothing is going to bring this thing back to life. Looks like I might be done here guys. I can't even begin to try and justify to my fiance why I would be spending our money on an old device when I already have purchased 3 new ones in the last 4 months. She would eat me alive. lol. It was a pleasure. :D

Not happening. This is where it all started for me and can't watch it end now. :D
