What directory is that in? I tried searching with my file utility, and it took forever, and found a bunch of irrelevant updaters.

No, I looked there.

Thanks anyway.

I had actually signed up for the soak test and then got child feet and didn't do it, if that makes a difference.

Are you rooted by any chance? If you are use no bloat free, and you will easily find it.

Not sure what it's worth, but a rep at US Cellular seems to believe that the Electrify will get ICS 'in the next 3 months'. And you know if the Electrify gets it… well, I give the Electrify a 0% chance of getting ICS before the Photon.

I only want it so my wife can get it and of course the devs can make their ROMs better.

Reps say anything to get anyone out of their way. They know nothing most of the time.

Oh, I agree. I've met some really dumb ones who said Samsung Galaxy S II and Electrify both support 4G. Wish I would have taken down their name, ask them for that 4G upgrade and see what they say.

Then again I also talked to a few who actually knew what they were talking about and seemed to appreciate that I did too. Because you gotta realize, the average cell customer is dumb as a rock. They either want an iPhone because they're popular or 'one with a camera'. Those of us who know the difference between iPhone and Android are one in a million and they know it. Enthusiasts are rarer still (aside from Sheeple that is).

On that same note, I once went in to the vzw store and asked a clerk what the battery size of a particular phone was. He didn't even check, looked at me and said, I don't know man, I just sell phones... I would think someone who SELLS PHONES for a living would know that answer. They are idiots for the most part.

Smartphone knowledge isn't even a requirement for their jobs. Looks and salesmanship are the two big things for them. A good friend of mine has those plus he knows a lot about phones. Except he had nothing good to say about the Photon (he works for Sprint, too). I think he's disappointed I got one (well, Electrify) but I couldn't be happier with it.

I actually find that honesty to be refreshing. How in the world can you expect a retail sales rep to remember the battery capacity of each of the 20 (30?) phones in his store.

Granted, though, that he should have volunteered to get a box/manual out for you...

But, OTOH, is battery capacity a real differentiator today - I think not.
