Unhappy Hulu to be restricted to only satellite or cable subscribers??

For those of you that thought my signature line was over the top, take a look at this exciting rumor.

" Hulu will become available only to those that have cable or satellite service"

Days of free media are almost over as the biggies look for more revenue streaming from your wallet... ...Don't believe me? Take a look at all the flagship models now being sold WITHOUT microSD card slots.

My guess is that the content owners are squeezing Hulu, demanding this move if the service wants to continue to have access to hit shows. But ultimately, a policy like this will mean the death of Hulu. There's no point in paying $9.00. amonth for Hulu on top of a regular cable subscription.

Big tv would gain because they sell their services at fees to cable providers. If society starts to move away from conventional tv towards cheaper online options they get less of what we make. It is not our money anymore, they are just handing it to us and then picking our pockets.

What would be the point? Not saying I don't believe it, because I can see this happening but what would be the point of paying an additional $8/month when you can just DVR your shows anyway?

Overall HULU sucks. I liked it back when it was totally free but ever since they added a premium service the company has gone downhill. I've tried out the paid service, less content than the full service, the app is broken on the flyer, and $8 a month and you still have COMMERCIALS! What am I paying for that I can't get from just going to my laptop and getting on hulu.com? I guess the ability to watch it on other devices.
