NO water got inside the phone and I can confirm this and HAVE confirmed this throughout many people and tests. Now the volume of my headset when PUT TO MAX on YouTube/Walkman/Anything that plays sounds is just way too low than when it was before. I KNOW for a FACT that there is something wrong, and I would rather not option to factory reset, although I will if necessary.
Also, I'm not able to use VRoot or any other method of rooting my XZU. It will successfully install on the phone but when I try to install SuperSU or Superuser it will NOT install to my device and restarts the phone (takes a while btw) with the app gone, asking me to reinstall it again if it didn't properly work. This happens over and over even after installing and reinstalling VRoot.
I have a C6833 with no mods whatsoever, running on T-Mobile's 4G LTE, apps that are installed are the usual Twitter/FB/IG/Snapchat/Tumblr so on.
Please help me out.. I would extremely appreciate it as I'd like to install some custom roms and kernel tweaks as well.
Thanks in advance!!!
So, about the headphone, for me even after cleaning it no problem, but did you check if the jack is well dry? As it is not cover water can go in and so mess with the contact between the jack and the phone.
For rooting process it is really troubling, but do you let your phone plugged to the PC while installing SuperSU? Do you follow the process:
Root with vroot (phone reboot auto)
Install SuperSU, open it, update binary normal (not cwm/twrp), grant root access.
Plug the phone and unroot with vroot (phone reboot auto)
Install SuperSU to /system/app (SuperSU disappear need to reboot for see it again)
Work flawlessly for me on .532 and for other people with a C6833.
Look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2446502
you have picture and YouTube tuto on how to root. And also all you need to do before be able to flash a Rom. But flashing a rom mean do a factory reset as well.
