[Q] Samsung Omnia W i8350 - downgrade to 7740

I am sorry, but I did not find any threads regarding my Omnia W i8350.

Guys,
can anybody help me how to downgrade my Samsung Omnia W i8350 to lower firmware/OS? "voluptuary" said: "... I would suggest rolling back to 7720/7740 ..." - but how?

The only thing I need is a AccentChanger to be working, but it needs Interop-Unlocked phone, since Dev-Unlocked phone is not enough. :-(

I have unfortunately this OS version: 7.10.8107.79.

I dont think Omnia W has any full-unlock, sorry.

Haven't full unlock but the question is the old stock rom to unlock with windowbreak

why not? it will! is the official way to flash the omnia w, the same, but different firmware we do on omnia 7 look here: [Guide] How to update/change the ROM

It didnt work on omnia W. I rechecked again. It gives write failure. I am also waiting for a newer version of the flasher.

I tried ( I8350XXKL5_I8350SEKKL5 ) this firmware. But Error was. _ Write DBL failed. What to do ?????????

Dear all,
i've got a new Omnia W, hence Windowbreak procedure doesn't work.
Is it possibile to downgrade the firmware using a prevoius backup?
If so, is there anyone who is willing to share an old backup of his phone?

Okay I read up a little bit... (Here is the thread I got this information from.)

Basically, it is possible to flash back to a SGH-i677 using a KK4 firmware BUT it is not capable of being jailbroken.
The reason is because the file extension is *.nb0 rather than the one required which is *.smd .

What is needed is either a program capable of flashing *nb0 or preferably a KK4 firmware which comes in *.smd form.

I would try tweeting @SamFirmware, their website releases a lot of Samsung firmware.

Is it possible to restore a backup coming from another Omnia W flashed?
Maybe not, but if so, is there anyone who is willing to share one of his backup?

Sadly not, as far as I know each image is unique and can't be transferred between devices.

plz hav a look at dis....

I was digging for flashing my Omnia w and came across an Italian site which shows that the downgrade is possible for the omnia w with newer firmwares. Im new to this stuff so can't post the link so google for "yourlifeupdated omnia w downgrade e interop unlock"

Please go through it and let me know if it works...
