Now that I've finally read a full review of the One Max, I'm more than happy to settle in on getting a One. HTC made some strange compromises on the One Max that don't make it ideal.
I can live perfectly fine with the 32GB of storage on the One. Plus it's got Beats audio and Optical Image Stabilization on the camera, which the One Max lacks. I don't need the fingerprint scanner on the One Max.
Also I plan on getting a Mophie battery case for my One. I'll be able to protect the phone and double its battery life. There's an add-on flipcover case + battery for the One Max but it doesn't add much extra battery power.
Since the One and One Max have the same SoC + 2GB of RAM running the show, I'll gladly just take what's there in the One. I'll grab a real tablet at some point down the line if I want something bigger.
