I just checked, you're right, it does say v.2.2.2, I believe it's an error though. Check the first post in the Amon-RA recovery thread, there's quite a few different ways you can go back to 1.8 or 2.2.1 or whatever version you want.
After you select flash zip from sd select toggle verification. At the bottom of the screen you'll see that it's disabled.
