Default [Q] "Application Not Installed" - How to resolve?

I seem to be hitting a roadblock with this, so hopefully someone knows of a solution.

I'm trying to install a replacement "Google Search" widget with a darker theme. [can be found here]. No matter what I try (including removing the existing one), I get "Application Not Installed."

Any ideas?

That's a system app, the package installer only installs to data/app. You need a root file explorer and paste it in /system/app then reboot

or... at the bottom i have attached an empty cwm zip... open it up on your pc with 7zip and drop in the apk to /system/app then just flash it in recovery

Thanks!

For the record, I found the "Custom ICS Search" app that is exactly what I was looking for.
