I have nothing other than my phone to use and i have never encountered any problem with the touchscreen. Theres nothing wrong with the touchscreen

Sent from my C6902 using Tapatalk

I'm by the phone every day I spend over 8-9 hours, and most of the time on the internet. Over the past nearly five months that I have this phone, I've never had a problem with the touchscreen.

don't dismiss other people's problems because you don't have them, i've used to have a TS problem untill FW .136 and it was very anoying especially in games that work mostly with the touch screen, it whould stop recognizing my finger. but for me it was solved with FW .136 on JB and i really glad it was solved. i guess some people had it worse, and some people didn't have it.

no point arguing about it, or telling everyone they're wrong.

Wow, I seriously hope the RAM consumption has been fixed. The Z1 is the worse multitasking phone I've come across in flagships, just too much of RAM usage and not enough to go around to keep enough stuff in memory. Now to wait for [NUT] to release the rooted version for the C902. :D

i've been running .757 for a few hours now, free ram stays around the 500mb and the phone is behaving really well, even when i open heavy games like Dungeon Hunter 4. hope it stays that way and i don't get the home screen redrawing and whatsapp reloading every time i open it like on .681

Update win win!

Into my first few hours of usage and I can confirm the following:

1) Sound bug's gone! I mean WOW! This was by far the stupidest problem and I'm sure everybody is going to be glad its fixed. Update did come late but what the hell! Better late than never.:D:D:D

2) The camera app seems to be working great. I tested it pretty extensively and the autofocus works way faster than the last update. No camera lags, shutter button working great so I guess this department checks well. Noticeably faster than the previous (.681) camera.

3) Lesser RAM usage. By lesser I mean atleast about 150 - 200 MB lesser which is a great thing. But I'll keep a watch on this and see if this stays.:cowboy:

4) Don't seem to experience any undue overheating or battery drain. This side is sunny and good.

5) The UI experience does seem a lot smoother. Especially the transition from lockscreen to homescreen and that random black screen that used to come is gone. So YAY. I haven't experienced any touchscreen related issues either. Definitely smoother than .681 ;):fingers-crossed:

6) Apps seem to be opening faster. :cyclops:

7) I also did notice that the notification led light stays on longer while blinking. Good thing no? Maybe it was always like that but WTH! just noticed that now.

On the downside though I did notice that sometimes the notification ringtones do sound cracked/ distorted/ playing slow and distorted. Happened like three times in total in about 5 hours. Not bad eh? Atleast I can hear the ringtones now :D

When I scroll down web pages sometimes it zooms in or clicks, is that the touch screen problem you are talking about??

It happens very rarely so it doesnt bother me..

If you use 'pattern unlock' or 'swipe keyboard' you will have come across the touchsceen issue.

Works most of the time but there is defo issues there!

i think its a kitkat bug, with my z1 i have this issue but its rare but with my moto g it's frequent

Hey Guys, I had the exact same tiny problems as you mentioned and I find this small fix, after I did that the touch screen is more better than before and no zooming or clicks and even open the phone with the patterns its seems better and no skips or repeat the pattern again....or maybe is just me or a placebo effect, then I will be glad if you can give to this Calibration 5 minutes and let me know if it solved the problem for you, so I will know if is just me go crazy! ;)

BTW, this Calibration can be done on Rooted only.

+1 with the crackle notification sounds, thought I was the only one (maybe ruined speaker). I had this start in 681 even though I was lucky and had no other speaker issues like the majority. It is very annoying and was hoping when Sony said this 757 was to fix sound issues this would be included. :(

Bug with keyboard is still present. After 10 mins of typing it gets bugged on the left side, and i can't type anything.

The cynic in me says each new update will eat up more RAM to make people conclude that 3GB is in fact essential. Oh, why not get a Z2? :)

Given KitKat can manage on 1GB easily, and even 512MB fairly well, 2GB should be ample - but I've noticed a lot less free RAM and had apps shutdown (even the launcher) which isn't really on.

But, not yet had this with .757.

My only problem thus far is that if my phone is locked (I use pattern security) and I start the camera, it still freezes some of the time and then if you try and hit home or back to get it back to life, it goes to the unlock screen. Unlock it, and assuming you have it set not to lock the phone for a set time, it will launch from screen off by pressing the button every time without fail, and without freezing.

So, the camera app is probably fine - but there's still a problem elsewhere.

It's a relatively easy thing to deal with. I can turn off security, or make sure that if I'm out, I unlock it and set the re-lock period to as long as possible.

Almost all bugs are fixed now. Only the lockscreen walkman widget bug is still there (the album art/music name sometimes doesn't change), but that's not a huge deal by any means. Well done Sony!

u r right to say do not dismiss other people's problem because you don't have them. but all these "argument" started when someone said "everyone have TS problem. if u didn't notice it u r not using your phone enuf", or something like that. hence the many feedback that many do not have such problem

Well you're lucky to have widgets on lock screen or can add and delete widgets. Updated mine to 757 and the music widget is no longer there. I can't even add another widget. Tried factory reset but still the same. Anyone who can help me with this problem?

So true, even I expected the same. At least this is related to the sound issue totally and they should have noticed it. Hmmm... Miss the clarity of JellyBean! :(

Sony can't really do that, since every other flagship is making do just fine with 2GB of RAM. The Xperia Z1 just seems to have an issue where RAM consumption is higher for some at all times (even on CyanogenMod it was the same as stock for me), and it looks like they finally got around to fixing it. Hoping it fixes permanently now. :D

Everyone has the Touch screen issue, even if you don't notice it.

Some have big problems with the touch, and everybody else has normal use touchscreen issue, the guys that tell you that they don't have the TS Issue is not using the phone enough.

How do you know everyone has it? I use my phone a lot and don't have issues with the touchscreen.

I've been on the stock kitkat ever since it was released and don't have any issue related to touchscreen. The previous build (.681) did have issues like overheating, camera app freeze / lag etc. but I didn't see anyone here complaining about the touchscreen. Maybe I missed if anyone did, but would you kindly elaborate as to what issues exactly do you have? I would like to test it on mine.

Anyway, after a day's use on the latest .757 build, my Z1 seems to work as it should with no noticeable issues so far. No sound bug, camera app works fine (no issue with the shutter key anymore), no overheating or mediaserver issue. Battery seems to be better than on jellybean for me. Also attached a couple of screenshots below showing no unusual battery drain on standby (which many are complaining) of 7 hrs with 1 hr screen on time (with 85% battery left for use).
