It is stock recovery plus tweaks. When you flash a mod/app/update through it you will get a red message saying signature verification failed but just ignore that because it installs fine. There is still some caution about using these repacked ICS kernels for flashing ROMs and doing data wipe/factor resets but flashing mods is safe.ive never flashed his plus kernels, but if i do happen to flash it, and i want to flash a mod, this will be done through "flash update.zip"? ive heard its stock recovery plus some tweaks....
You probably want to change mod download location in settings to your external sd. For example mine is /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/ROM Updater. (ROM Updater is a folder I created on my external sd card)
After you download the file through ROM Updater and hit OK it's going to tell you superuser permissions have been granted but it won't automatically go into recovery. Use either volume up + power, or long press power and reboot to go into recovery or use Quick Boot (my choice to save wear and tear on my buttons). Once in recovery you'll choose apply update from external storage, go down to either the name of the mod or the folder you downloaded into (mine is ROM Updater), choose the mod name and yes to install, then reboot and you're good to go.
