A few weeks ago i lost my xperia ion and now i am using a rugby smart till my upgrade comes. I am becoming a little more comfortable with flashing roms and such, as i have been practicing on an old cappy. The captivate seems to have all the roms, while i can only find three for the rugby. The cm 9 worked ok, but didnt seem so stable and i had a lot of problems with rom toolbox. Cm 10 worked great too and was more stable, but after flashing g apps the play store wont connect. the aokp rom was pretty much the same but the play store works. However, none of the roms seem as snappy quick during common operating as the stock gingerbread. Am i missing something in install? I followed the instructions in the super thread to the t. Are the jb and ics based roms just too much for a phone with such limited ram? Is there any gingerbread based roms that are cool and would work better on this phone?
Firstly, the Rugby Smart is a variant of the Galaxy W, thus the fact that it has only 3 ROMs. And no, there is no GB ROMs. Now, your problem. Reflash ROM with cache and dalvik cleared. Use the 'Pristine' method as shown by pepoluan. It is in the General section.
