Hi, thought I would be good to see how much everyone's scores differ.

Screenshots would be good and include the batch number, and which update you are on for reference

My last device had 11986 - HT23 - v1.28, but it's replacement only reaches 10591 - HT24 - 1.28

Ten days ago on the left, just now on the right. Nothing changed in between. I wouldn't read too much in to it. I've noticed the 2D graphics scores fluctuating on some of the tests people have posted. I'm guessing it has to do with the graphics drivers which we know are hosed because of all the graphics issues. Once they are updated we should see more consistent AnTuTu scores.

Thanks, I agree - just re ran it and now stands at 10899 so some real fluctuations.

Maybe worth seeing if and of the custom roms make any difference? (still bound by the driver issue though I know)

And with Nvidia, we always will be. I think they keep their drivers proprietary so no one can see how badly they are written. ;)

Definitely... I'm sure it will be sorted soon though, just gutted mine isn't unbranded so any update will be delayed.

I actually hate nvidia because of their drivers. My system(alienware m15x) has a GTX260M and I get blue screens randomly on windows and the nvidia drivers for linux make my distro crash to login screen because of a faulty power management module in the drivers -_-. No fix so far and none expected in those two scenarios.

So what I'm saying is, don't hope a lot from them.

I love the one x and I'm going to pick up one soon just hoping they give a damn about updating the tegra iii.

But has Nvidia or HTC announced or promised updates to improve the performance of the One x?

I can only share what I know from watching Asus and Nvidia try to opimize the Prime. Battery life and peformance, especially the behavior of the multiple cores, are linked. So to improve battery life they played around with the stepping of the cores and in one update even locked them below the 1.3Ghz max clock speed. By the third update the *****ing stopped so I'd guess they found the right balance. But a 25Wh battery in a tablet gives you a lot more to play with than a 1800Mah battery in a phone. So time will tell.

The graphics drivers are a side issue and were also experienced by the Prime. They were easier to resolve.
