now that you mention BLN.... i recall seeing a similar problem on my old Nexus S and CM7 ROMs using BLN were also doing the same thing.

it might be a bug in the BLN source code.

because then i switched back to another CM7 without BLN and it was stable

That being said, in Jugger 2.5 i did not enable BLN yet, but on 2.6 i downloaded the BLN app from market and enabled it

so, it's plausible the BLN might be the source of these issues

On 2.6 since yesterday and no hot reboots. Installed jugs kernel and set over clock up to 1.83 and battery has been going well and Rom is smooth with no lag. Min is set to 1.51 and I'm using set-cpu. So far so good

Guys. If you get a soft reboot, please tell us what lockscreen you were using and exactly what happened right before. A logcat would be nice too. Otherwise reports aren't helpful. We know they happen. We need to pinpoint exactly what triggers them.

I was using the "Android" lock screen, when my phone rebooted on me out of nowhere, the phone was just on standby (I think that's what it should be called) I was just browsing the net and all of a sudden I felt a vibrate on the desk and picked up my phone and turned on the screen, all I saw was the lock screen with a no signal icon for my cell quality. The weird thing after the reboot was that the phone would not register my finger swiping around or register my presses for the app menu nor did the touch buttons on the bottom of screen would register half the time, it all came back after about a minute or two.

I'm currently on 2.6 and was on 2.5 and 2.0 before that. I wiped everything before updating to 2.5 from 2.0, and only applied the update from 2.5 to 2.6, I did leave the default option of wiping Dalvik cache or whatever it was set to from the ROM updater.

Hey romanbb how would one go about getting just the "hot boot" portion of the logcat or would you prefer just running until it happens. Because sometimes it happens first thing when i get up other times phone works all day then randomly hours later it will happen.

For me:

Was chatting on trillian, hit power button to lock it(i do it to save power when not using it)

Next thing i notice, backlights at bottom are on, i turn it back on, and its disconnected my wifi(where i have to turn it off then back on), loses 3g for a bit, and its restarting my launcher

using Android lock screen, stock kern, so no BLN features here..

Was on the AOSP lockscreen. Had turned screen on then off on accident quickly. Tried to turn it back on, bottom lights came on, no screen.

Enjoying the new v 2.6, no problems to report. Everything is running smooth.
No re-boots, but I'm not using any of the new lock screens, waiting on the new one that whitehawk posted a screen shot of a few days ago.

Great work and enjoy the coffee!

i was using the rotary screen lock, i'll try to grab some logs when i get home

but the phone was just iddling doing nothing, with the screen off when it happens randomly

if i clear out all the RAM with the task manager then it stays fine for longer period of time

it only seems to do it when it has a lot of cached apps in RAM

    Frequently Asked Questions
    Q. How do I do a full wipe on my phone before flashing?
    A. When you boot into recovery, select the option "factory wipe" and confirm it. This will ensure you perform a "FULL WIPE" prior to flashing.

    Q. WAAAAH! My MMS is blurry!!! How do I fix this???
    A. Send pictures via email, use a 3rd party mms app from market OR flash the CM7 mms app posted by esincho HERE. READ HIS POST!

    Q. I keep getting an error when trying to use Wifi-Calling. WTF?
    A. You HAVE to use one of the new SIM cards provided by T-mobile AKA the one included with your SGSII. If you are, run fix permissions in recovery.

    Q. I installed the Swype Beta and it keeps FC. What gives???
    A. You did one of the following - Flashed over a previously installed version of Juggernaut or another rom that had stock swype installed OR restored swype using Titanium backup. That's why a FULL WIPE was recommended. Good job on not following directions. :)

    Q. I just got the update notification from T-mobile. How do I get rid of this???
    A. Two ways - download bloat freezer or Titanium Backup Pro from market and freeze "device management" OR use Root Explorer and navigate to /system/app and delete wssyncmldm.apk and wssyncmlnps.apk.

    Q. Does this rom include the new baseband/modem???
    A. NO. If you want the new baseband/modem, use my guide HERE to flash it through Odin.

Bug When Using Arabic Language ONLY
    - Upon reboot MMS will FC when you try to open it. The fix is to change to ANY language, open it then switch back to Arabic. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a 3rd party MMS app from the market or flashing the CM7 MMS app listed in FAQ above.

Wow. After reading the last 5 pages or so I guess it's time to invite everyone into the mind and life of Whitehawkx. Let me lay all the cards out on the table.

I will first address this nonsense of me quitting. NO, I will not be quitting "deving" anytime soon. I have been wanting to take a much needed break and I feel I am absolutely entitled to this. So much time goes into the work that myself, roman, faux, curtis and every other dev puts out. It's very exhausting to say the least. Why is it exhausting? Let's go deeper into the rabbit hole.

I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy. I have a job that work 40 hours a week at. I also have a girlfriend who I will be proposing to sometime in the very near future. My personal life is just that, personal. I have been going through my own problems as I'm sure everyone who posts on these forums have problems of their own. All the while I do my best to keep as many ppl as I can happy. I saw some mentions of the Valhalla rom. Man... I got trolled to death about that rom and finally updated it. I would say go read through the thread but it has since been deleted.

As for the current state of Juggernaut - I have spoken to roman about doing a "final" release. However final is not necessarily true. What do I mean? Well, we want to do an epic FINAL release that we feel will satisfy the masses for a long time. Why? Because Team Kang in it's entirety has been Galaxy Nexus-ized. So yes, we will be focusing on that phone for some time as it's the new latest and greatest thing on the market. Will I be getting rid of my SGSII? HELL NO! I love this phone and it will not be going ANYWHERE anytime soon. Development will be slower, yes, but we will still be around. Trust me on this. Do you guy's follow faux123? He STILL puts out updated kernels for the G2x and imo that phone is ancient lol.

Thank you for everyone that supports Team Kang. We love you guys and wouldn't be here without you. We try are best to make sure your phone is a pimp and badass as it can possibly be. I feel pretty confident that we are doing a superb job at this. To answer another question - We WILL be updating Juggernaut to the latest release that Samsung and T-mobile have provided us. Will the update be coming tomorrow? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I may look like Jesus but I lack his ability to create worlds in a matter of days.

Some things to expect. Roman been working on the music player bug that was presented a week or so ago. We are aware of the issue and it's being worked on. I am also planning on fixing the volume control bug b/c like many other it drives me ****ing nuts too. Oh, and of course another lockscreen (probably ring) will be implemented. This is what you can expect, but it will be some time before we can get this rolled out. We need to redo EVERYTHING for the new build including the existing features you have all come to know and love.

My only request is that everyone relax, and enjoy your phone. We are here to stay for quite some time. I promise.

    Love,
    Whitehawkx
    41
Ok you frakkin' vultures... since almost everyone here can only read going forward let me repeat myself...

    Arabic spacing/shaping = FIXED

    Ring lockscreen wallpaper = FIXED
Ring lockscreen incorrect low battery text = FIXED

    Christmas themed = REMOVED

Now I have done my fair share of investigating on this whole "blurry mms" issue. YES I KNOW ITS THERE. I took stock KL1 and compared files to another rom that has "blurry mms fixed." I am NOT going to name any names, but from what I can tell the reason the blurry mms is "fixed" (LOL) is because they used the framework files from 2.3.5 and added in wifi calling. Is this what ppl would have rather had? I mean, I could have added in wifi-calling to 3.7 and called it good in 10 minutes. So did Roman and myself completely waste our time by upgrading everything to 2.3.6? Is this what I'm to understand? And who knows, maybe I'm just completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Here is the fix for blurry mms = GO USE A 2.3.5 ROM. There you go. Fixed. OR you can do what I do and send pictures through email. I would think that since you all are using an android device you have email right?????? There I go assuming **** though. I suggest you all call T-mobile and raise hell if you want the blurry mms fixed. I refuse to look into this issue any further. Won't use the rom because of it. SWEET! Just less posts complaining I have to read about.

I will be posting Juggernaut 4.1 some time today. It will be the last update until ICS comes out. So if you don't like it, TOUGH.

And that's how you keep it REAL.
