I guess I should have edited that. It would not let me for 5 minutes and I got sidetracked. I got it by taking the battery out.
Anyways, I did get download mode back, but it did not do anything for me.
What about my cwm errors I posted a few posts up?
Ok I took out the sd card and put it in my computer and deleted the voodoo and did the one click again and it finally worked. I'm back to stock. I had did heimdall 2 times since the problem, but I hadn't deleted the voodoo off of the sdcard. I guess that helped.
Now, I gotta get back to rooted. thanks guys.
Ok, I'm running into the same problem that caused me to go astray last time.
One click heimdall fine
zergking root fine
superuser was installed and granting permissions
rootchecker says I'm rooted.
I installed FBis251's kernel per instruction so I could have cwm
This replaced superuser with superSU that says binaries need to be updated
When I try to update it says Installation failed !
This is why I tried another kernel last time.
I updated it from the market....no luck
Then I cleared data...no luck
I've rebooted....no luck
Root checker says I still have root access.
I'm afraid to go further.....what should I do?
I have searched the forum for this problem and it seems updating it fixed the issue for most, but not me.
When I installed Titanium backup to test it it says I could not acquire root privileges.
Run 1 click gremlin remover that should get you where you want to be to flash roms...here is a link

Ok that should have worked...im not fimiliar with heimdall cuz it didnt work for me and i went the odin route...maybe you should try that..it will consist of downloading new drivers and all that jazz but i found it easier to use then heimdall...
I just dont know what is going on with your phone...
lol So, I finally got into the settings in SuperSU. Before the app kept force closing so I tried it again. Saw something to switch super apps. I did that in order to go back to superuser b/c it worked before. I downloaded superuser and then clicked superSU again to switch apps via the option inside of settings. Superuser asked for permission to open the app, I allowed, then it updated the binaries on SuperSU in like 2 seconds. I thought I was good.
Now rootchecker says I'm not rooted. I'm jumping off of a bridge. I've been on this thing for 9 hours straight.
i know how you feel man...took almost 12 hours to get mine working properly...
go to about phone and see what you band, kernel, build and firmware you have..
Twisted: You may be adding to the confusion more than helping. I think it is great to try and help but many of your post have me scratching my head.
Natypes: What are you wantong to do? SuperSU is fine. FB prefers it. Look at the guide in the first link of my signature to help flash a custom ROM. You already have CWM from FB's kernel. Start the guide where applicable.

Natypes: What are you wanting to do? SuperSU is fine. FB prefers it over Superuser. They both do the same thing. Look at the guide in the first link of my signature to help flash a custom ROM. You already have CWM from FB's kernel. Start the guide where applicable.
I would like to get a custom rom on it. See my above post about my issue with superSU and why I'm afraid to go further.
You just need CWM. Don't worry about SuperSU. Look at the guide I mentioned. When you flash a custom ROM it will overwrite the ROM and kernel you currently have.
If you want Octane - it would be a good idea to flash AntonX's kernel afterwards. It is one of the more stable kernel's we have. Use the same guide to help with that. You can simply use SGS Kernel Flasher to flash a new kernel.
