It gives acces to "adb remount". (ability to mount system as read/write even if you're not rooted).
You have full acces with adb (only).

Very nice Rom.
Fast and feels good.

Till now:
- Camcorder (rear) is not working with high and youtube. Low is working. ! Front ok. 1080 Patch didnt change anything.
- Gallery with Cam pics - FC. (How can i clear gallery-cache or re-scan ?)
- Asus email widged - FC

Thx for your report.

I just check the CamCorder, both rear and front are working for me. Video files are generated and can be wtch from Gallery. (i can confirm it FC from CamCorder app when you just record a video.)
I'll check that FC, and Asus email widget too.

FYI.. I was able to go from 1.141.07 to Taboonay 0.8 w/o doing a Data Wipe. It booted fine and everything was setup the way I had it. Only problem I've found was the ApinAp FC, but fixed with deleting data just for that app.

At low and youtube it recording fine...but high i got no response

Edit....sorry it cant record even at youtube mode...
It records just in low mode

Thanks, Gallery now ok, rear Cam with hight and youtube still not working.
Nothing seems to happen, but you can find non-working mp4`s on sd-card.

Is the download link in the first post pointed to version 0.8.1 ??

Or... is it the original version 0.8.0 and we have to grab the patch in post #2 and patch it in order to get to latest ?

what about the camera recording patch ?... same question as above... do we have to update and grab ALL files from post #2 to get to the latest change log ?

Updated to 0.8.1 :D


That would be nice to can have a kind of kitchen sink with what application we want or do not want
- tweetcomb
- news360
etc...
to can remove those we do not want and those we want.

I am planing to update my Acer Liquid Metal Rom but dunno what should be the best... waiting Acer 2.3.4 update then wait for a stock rom modified or upgrade to your gingerounet rom :D

Rear Camera : pressing the red button do not trigger the recording...
Front Camera : OK

Is that normal ?
in application desktop, some names are cropped, seems be align name on center making something wrong...
I am uploading 2 pictures to show the problem
