Bluetooth

I've seen a few posts from people (like me) who can't get Bluetooth to work and a few (fewer) from people who say it's working. But no details.

I have successfully flashed update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-galaxysmtd-KANG-signed.zip but with Bluetooth still no love: I can pair but not connect.

I would really appreciate any help.

Does it work on official nightly?
And provide a logcat so we can check.

It worked with the original Samsung ROM but it has never worked (for me) with CM - not stable, nightly or kang. I can pair devices so it's working to some extent but I can't connect (file transfers fail, headset is silent).

Logcat? Sorry, how do I do that?

Install official nightly and generate a logcat. This logcat you can provide in the official nightly thread so teamhacksung can take a look at it.

Next time first use mighty google for questions like that:

Be sure you stay completely stock!

After using it for a week, I'm not convinced that the "huge ram" patch is really helping (was using kangaroo + midnight hugeram version).

My RAM fills up as fast as without the patch, but I got the feeling that the freeing of the RAM below 60MB does not work very good any more: As always, my RAM fills up after a few days of usage, which normally leeds to Android freeing up RAM ... my device gets slower, but I can still use it.

Lately; I aoserved that I got only 20-30 MB RAM left, and Android reloading my launcher widgets (to free more RAM?). I'm back to CM-nightly and midnight kernel without "huge ram" patch, I will test it for a few days and report back.

Try the supercharger script.

The sound on the latest build (kangaroo-20120415) is a little bit lower. Anyone else can confirm?

I would recommend using advanced task killer 2.0
This has helped me heaps free up ram. Now getting around 180mb free ram. Was using that other standard task killer and it was crap. Highly recommend the one in first sentence.

Love kanga rom. Has the screen calibration tool and I adjusted mine to green 0.837 and screen is do beautiful. Love my galaxy s. :)

It's been a long time since there was an official build. I think I will share my build for now until the build infra is running again.
Do NOT report any issue in the main CM nightly thread. You have been warned!
You can however report issues here, and pray somebody will listen to them.

    http://nethq.org/cmsgs/

    Again, you have been warned!

    FAQ

    Q. What does the test folder mean?
    A. It will be unofficial builds with additional commits from developers which are not yet approved to go into CM. There is probably a good reason why it didnt get merged yet, so you are warned!

    Q. Is this build faster than latest nightly?
    A. This build is fast, but probably not faster than latest nightly

    Q. Is battery life better then latest nightly?
    A. This build battery life is good, but probably not better than latest nightly

    Q. What does updated WIFI driver do?
    A. Nothing, I removed it.

    Q. What has been added/changed since last build?
    A. Check Changelog for latest changes.

    Q. Can i flash this over my currently nightly?
    A. Yes you can flash this over a nightly just like you do with another nightly

    Q. Where did the KANG go?
    A. It got replaced by UNOFFICIAL to prevent misunderstanding.
