This a comparison of the M7 vs the M8 hardware, for anyone considering upgrading from the old One, to the "All-New One"

Hardware Specs:
Code:
			-- HTC One M7 -- -- HTC One M8 --
CPU: Snapdragon 600 @ 1.7 GHz	Snapdragon 801 @ 2.3 GHz
GPU: Adreno 320 @ 400 GHz Adreno 330 @ 578 GHz
Memory: 2 GB LPDDR2 2 GB LPDDR3
Dimensions: 5.41"H x 2.69"W x 0.37"D	5.76"H x 2.78"W x 0.37"D
			(137.4mm x 68.2mm x 9.3mm)	(146.3mm x 70.6mm x 9.4mm)
Weight: 5.0 oz (0.31 lbs) 5.4 oz (0.34 lbs)
Display: 4.7" SLCD-3 489 ppi 5.0" SLCD-3 441 ppi
Gorilla Glass 2 Gorilla Glass 3
SIM Type: Micro SIM Nano SIM
Internal Storage:	32 GB 32 GB
External Storage:	USB OTG USB OTG, MicroSD
Battery: 2300 mah 2600 mah
Rear Camera: 4 MP, F2.0 4 MP, F2.0 (updated sensor) / 2 MP Depth Sensor
Front Camera: 2.1 MP 5.0 MP
Capacitive Buttons:	Back, Home None

Personal Observations:
Display's color accuracy is better on the M8.
No faint vertical lines visible in landscape view on the M8.
Speakers are louder and clearer on the M8.
Orange notification LED appears to be dimmer than on the M7, but the green LED is brighter.

Before I purchased the M8, I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the cash for the upgrade. But I'm glad I did it. I really feel HTC has made good improvements on an already great phone.

Have you done the same? What are your thoughts?

I should go outside...
My biggest problem with the m7 which eventually led to me selling it and getting the note 3 were 3 things.

Overheating. My phone was almost always hot to the touch.

The lowest volume setting was tooo loud. Watching videos at night while in bed became uncomfortable.

Battery life. The m7s battery life SUCKED. It would take like 3 hours to charge and would lose charge if you played with it while it was on the charger.

On the m8 this phone rarely overheats. The lowest volume setting is much lighter than the m7 and is comfortable. The battery life is still blowing me away. It has a better battery than the note 3.. always get around 5-6 hours screen on time.

Sounds like something was wrong with it. Or you had something installed causing battery drain. Don't think I've seen my M7 go much over 40C. My Rezound would regularly see 50C+.

Definitely worth it but i think you had an issue with your battery cause i didnt have have the overheating unless your lte coverage is better then mine haha but the m8 kills it honestly but without the beats i think the DNA is the best phone with headphones but root will change all that anyway
