Thank you very much for that informative answer. My daily phone is the HTC Dream anyway. I just received a few 'broken' Kaiser and Hermes phones, fixed a display here and a touchscreen there and tried to flash ROM's - just for the experience. Now I own a couple of backup WinMo phones...

Well... as I stated back in 2008 on the first page / post #2:
ROM eOS4.888.FiRe is supported through releases of ROM Updaters until 2011 by -888-
At this moment we are already well into year 2011, and the time has come...
Support for ROM eOS4.888.FiRe and any previous versions have to come to end.
It's been fun (and it still is) but I no longer can provide any more support for the device I don't own myself for more than 2 years. Anyways, I think I have provided support for this ROM for much longer than Microsoft or HTC themselves, and possibly much longer than any other ROM out there
As always, all good things must end sooner or later.

can anyone help me ? ive just installed this rom and its now installing the eXt pack but it keeps getting stuck at around half way through :/

are you sure you want to download it? and did you know that ROM is dedicated to htc kaiser not xperia x1 ?
if you want to download his ROM try this Link

My Dad is sad this ROM is no longer developed. He still has it on his Tilt since December 2008.
I had it too on my Kaiser (Tytn II). best WM6.1 rom!

I ve downloaded this rom. It is very good and very fast. But the most problematic thing is vibrating of the phone instantly. It is very frequenty byut I dont know from where. When the phone is up, or when is down, display is blank phonevibrate two times like when getting a message.
I have checked notifications and there are nowhere turned on vibrating without any other events, and i can't assign any of this alerts with new message arrivingg.

I have done Hard resetes after flash.

What Can I do in this situation ? Rom is very good for me but this is strange.

How many bluetooth headsets can I have configured in this rom? I have problem - configure one handsfree device and second device wouldnt work
