How to Unlock Carrier?

I Live in india..friend sent me US version of T-Mobile S3(SGH-T999)
Well in india cant really use TMobile as there is no metworks or stuffs..I really need an easy way to unlock the phone..and dont really trust any online Websites which charge Heave stuffs for unlocking..
Well there any way to do so? Will appreciate help..and I can easily root it..thats not an issue

Thanks..But Voodoo unlock works for T-mobile?

Im not sure. Have never had the need for looking into it. I just figured youd be more likely to find your answers in that thread.
