I just flashed the format zip and the rom, SUPER quick Calkulin. Much appreciated!
However, my App 2 SD Pro apps on my card have vanished? This is the first flash over 3 phones that this has occurred... Any ideas as to where they may be hiding?? THx.

+1 for the Rom

---------- Post added at 10:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:42 PM ----------

just happened 2x to me too. Had to reflash from CWM. hmmm...

I have had files on SD card vanish once after a theme flash. Had to shut down, pull battery and wait a sec, and boot back up. All the files were back. Haven't had the problem since, but it sure as hell convinced me to backup my cwm backups elsewhere just in case.

Is there a way to add or remove icons on the homescreen bar or move them around while using Touch wiz?

Is it me or does this rom make the stock yellow background on the messaging app look really yellow?

I was wondering the exact same thing! I can't move does bottom homescreen icons

Have you tried to download all the apps from the market and just use titanium backup to restore the data to the app?

I am not trying to be a **** but did you read the OP? Have you flashed the stock Volt settings? It says in the op that if you are having reboot problems and are stuck then flash the stock voltage settings and you should be fine. I had the same problem and went back and re-read everything and I am now fine.

Everything seems to be running find, but I do have one strange issue. When I try to see the pictures on my phone and go to the gallery its not seeing the picture on my SD card. It does the same thing when I want to select a ringtone, it doesn't see the ones on my SD card. any suggestions?

PS. I am able to find them on some type of file explorer like root explerer.

Oh man, this happened a couple of times on my OG Epic. It was kernel related. Try backing up your SD card to your PC then format the SD card and put your backup you made back on freshly formatted card. That may work. I have lost all of my pics and music before from a bad Kernel nuking them but if they show in a file manager, it should be correctable.

I am having the same issue. If I download another application for viewing pictures such as QuickPic or use the standard file explorer, I am able to view the pictures. When I open the gallery, I am given nothing. I cannot find anyway to have the gallery rescan for media either. I've unmounted and remounted the SD card to no avail.

This makes me believe that the gallery application is not working properly, not the kernal. Anybody have any insight?

The only problem i have been having is since putting a sdcard in my phone takes longer to wake, is there a fix for it on this rom? Also had a problem today where i made a call and tried to end it but got a green notification bar and ended up having to pull the battery.

So this is the reason why the phone usually takes a second or two to wake up after pressing the power button? I always wondered why it took so long for the screen to turn on. Yes, I also have an external SD-card installed. Speaking of which, mine is Class-10. Is it faster than the internal storage?

I also read that everytime you wake the phone it checks for updates from Samsung...I believe there was some chatter about it in here. You can disable that function by using
Code:
pm disable com.samsung

check the site out and do a lil searching maybe some of the suggestions out there may help you it helped me...

Yep the sdcard causes the screen to take longer to come on, Im not sure about the speed vs internal storage though, one easy way to test is to copy a large file say >100MB to and from each and see how the speed is, that should give you a good idea of each speed (from what i have seen the internal storage is pretty fast lol)

This is a common problem for people, the green notification bar gets stuck and reboot is required.

All I can report is that all my old camera shots on my external 8gb sdcard show up in gallery under camera. Maybe the media scanner expects a particular folder name to pick them up?

1.1 is just about PERFECT.

Thanks Calk!!

I just need to figure out why I can't get to 1.6 ghz. I need to learn how to make a kernel so I can try 1.5, 1.55 etc. Doesn't really matter 'cause this rom FLIES but you know... got to have the fastest phone possible.

everything is good so far from my daily usage experience but there is one little thing...
for some reason i cant sign in to amazon appstore it keeps telling me invalid
Email or password i even changed it thinking i forgot it lol anyway i can log in
to the website but the app keeps repeating that the password is wrong.
anybody else experiencing this?

Ok finally i figuered it out why i couldn't log in.
Apparently when you flash a rom it registers it as a new device on amazon.com
i dont know how many you can have but for me it had like 25 Devices from nexus one
to my tablets and now my epic. If you ever get the "invalid email and password"
just go to amazon.com your account-your devices- deregister the ones you dont need.
after that it should let you log in.

Well that was strange. My phone just rebooted itself and said "Safe Mode" in the bottom left corner when it turned back on. All my widgets were removed from my home screen too. I rebooted and added all the widgets back so it think it is good now though. Anyone else experience this?

The rom doesn't determine los its the kernel. So I personally have had zero los running Chris's stock packed with CWM
I love the rom, since I got it working without lock screen lockup. I've run it for 4 days now and I've had LOS 3 times. I was on 1.0 then 1.05 then 1.1.

I thinks I will try flashing Stock Pulled Kernel from bubby323 repacked by Chris41g. Has anyone had better luck with this rom for LOS?

That happens when you touch/press, I believe it's the home key, while the phone is booting up, makes go into safe mode. A reboot will take it back to normal. Happened to me the other day, also used to happen on my old SG Vibrant. No worries. Kinda freaky at first....lol

    Based on rooted 2.3.6 / EL29

    ROM includes:
    Rogue Gunslinger kernel
    Busybox
    and more
(Some removed apps are in the sdcard/Removed_Apps folder)

    MODs included:
    Tweaked system(Very FAST)
Kernel can be undervolted using included Tegrak profiles
Crawrj's & Maddoggin's Hotspot hacks to unlock Sprint Hotspot & USB tethering
Moved dalvik-cache to cache partition(now if it runs low on space, it will move back to Data partition)
Reduced auto-brightness range for better battery life
    Removed haptic feedback from dialer
Notification bar will display TRUE network speeds, 2G(1x) & 3G(EVDO)
Camera can be used with less than 15% battery & during phone calls
Raised audio bitrate for most video recordings modes
Volume rockers can be used to take pictures
Reboot, Recovery & Download power menu options
Swapped phone & message buttons in dialer
    Removed mandatory Exchange security policy
TouchWiz launcher displays 5 dock icons & 5x4 app drawer
Volume keys will wake phone from sleep
    Disabled 100% battery notifications
    Reduced promixity sensor delay
    Browser UA string selection
    Removed Camera sounds
    Removed messaging from call logs
    Colored notification icons
    Battery % on battery meter
    Transparent notification background
    Removed USB Debug notification
    Relaxed MMS compression ratio
Raised MMS recipient limit to 500
Annoying ads in programs are blocked
    ICS Transitions
    And other misc tweaks/mods

System has also been de-odex'd, apk's have been optimized & aligned

    Notes about Battery Saver script

Can be used with any kernels that have init.d support

It completely eliminates the need for an application to set CPU speeds or profiles
Easily customizable if you use a text editor(scripts located in /system/etc/init.d)
It will set Max CPU speed to 800MHz & Min CPU speed to 200MHz when a sleep
If SetCPU, Overclock Widget, Android Overclock or QuickClock Advanced Overclock are detected, the script is ignored, so it will not affect them
Awake tweak will speed up the CPU to max speed for 5 secs after waking up to eliminate any lag while unlocking, etc, then it will return to the profiles

    Preset profiles are:
    1.2GHz - 100-85%
    1.0GHz - 84-36%
    800MHz - 35-0%

And just an FYI, even at 800MHz, the phone still operates very well & smooth but the battery saving are the real benefit

    v3.0
Switch kernel to Rogue Gunslinger v1.4.1(Undervolting zips in FAQ work again)
    Tweaked Battery Saver script
Tweaked Dalvik to Cache script(now if it runs low on space, it will move back to Data partition)
    Some UI tweaks

    Added
Awake tweak to battery saver script(it will speed up the CPU to max speed for 5 secs after waking up to eliminate any lag while unlocking, etc, then it will return to the profiles)
