Oooh Ok. I took mine out 4 times, vids & pics. Underwater. 1st 3 times worked like a charm, and we only used it for a short time. When you 1st go under the screen jumps around a bit. It settles after a quick second. The 4th time I took it to a water park, and had it out in the sun for about 5-6 hours. That killed it. Phone still worked, but screen went way dim. Had to use a flashlight to see it. Vids & pics were great though. Down water slides and all. So much fun with this phone. Just can't get too carried away. My bad for the wrong verbiage. I do attest this thing will create memories.

Actually its not waterproof and was never touted to be. It is certified to be IP67 Water Resistant. Which means that it is dust tight and can be immersed in 1m of water for 30 minutes and it should be ok. Water proof would mean that it would be able to withstand any degree of water. If anybody is interested this page has a pretty good description and chart of what Ingress Protection is and what the numbers mean.

Have to to say though, its pretty inpressive how far up the S5 is on the chart. It is narrowing in on water proof territory.
