Man, what a pain to endure. Hope you get settled into something soon and can finally put this behind you.

I got the EU bug a couple months ago and have stayed on ICZen ever since. I did originally get it after using mostly AOKP & ICZen builds, but (as Woodrube mentioned) this is a global ICS issue and not specific to any one rom.

There's always the downgrading option, but that's just not gonna happen for me. I'm way too smitten with ICS performance and ICS specific apps on this "old" phone. Once you've been bitten by the EU bug, it's really a matter of being smart about data backups. If it happens again, you already know the drill.

Why not just start over from JFD?

Because the encryption unsuccessful error message makes the internal memory no longer accessible. If I am wrong please inform but everyone's resorted to just used microsd cards and tricking the phone into thinking its the internal mem with partioning tricks and work arounds.

Using the vold.fstab emmc/sdcard swap (with an ext sdcard) is the only viable method to get around no longer having access to the internal. You can flash Eugene's Froyo w/out an external, but then what do you do with it? Lol.

My suggestion would be to post your situation (with all the relevant details) directly in Merio90's EU thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1580902

A lot of people follow that thread, so you'll get more targeted eyeballs and qualified responses. Plus, I swear this Odin / ext sd issue sounds very familiar - ie. I thought Alex9090 went through something similar.
