I see....looks like the glitch from the amonRa recovery kernel on the evo, sorta but worse lol.
I never turn my phone off so never noticed before.
This message is to thank someone. You know who you are bro. This was unexpected, to say the least.
Wifi Issues on newest build
Hi everyone,
First, congrats cybik on the first and best CM7 port for Photon. It seems to be a very promising effort towards a full CM7 support for the device.
I am experiencing WiFi issues. I leave WiFi on as I am overseas and 3G is hard to come by. My WiFi regularly disconnects with this rom (every time the screen locks), and to get it working again, I need to completely turn off Wifi and turn it back on. It will not reconnect to the Wifi network unless I do this (or reboot the phone).
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
I am running Skype in the background, and I am on a GSM network without data.

If you want it to stick on, check wifi settings -> menu button -> advanced -> sleep policy

I have the same wifi issue and mine is always set to never sleep. Had same problem with stock ROM.
I can confirm, the issue is everywhere but I found the solution. I installed juicedefender and chose there disable to manage wifi. And now wifi is not leaving the phone

I know this is asking a lot, but is there any chance of bringing a version out of the rom without the sprint ERI in it, so us uscellular electrify owners can roam again? Im sure the f★cks are low, but i figured i’d ask, unless you are fixing the system select for cdma being stuck on home only, in which case ill shut the hell up..

I have an idea or two about this, but
- I don't know if it would work or not
- One idea would be to try and put it on "CDMA ONLY" mode using the *#*#info#*#* panel
- Another hinges on having a network mode selector directly inside the Settings, since I theoratically have the combination for CDMA+roaming per what MotoStock uses
- I am at a all-time low on my stock of f!cks and it's pissing me off.
Using the info code and setting it to CDMA ONLY loses 3g. Dunno if the roaming issue is fixed (I can try that later) but side effect is that I only get 1x access.
When I took my son home this morning, I have to travel thru a roaming area, so to check it wasn't me, I reloaded the Nov 6th build, and that had service everywhere. When I dropped him off at school I reloaded the Nov 8th build, and no service in roaming areas.. Bloody odd if u ask me!!
At any rate I'm still using it as its a million times better than motoblur..
::EDIT if I set to EVDO only I get 3G... weird...

I'm having a new shipment of f#cks sent to you. Wasn't sure if you liked big f%cks or small f^cks, but figured any f*ck would do in the mean time.
The f@cks I ordered weren't Amazon Prime eligible though, so I had to go with the "When ever" shipping method....hopefully you'll get them soon.
In the mean time....ahhh screw it im outta F!cks too.
I found a way to get service in roaming areas. I turned international roaming data on and wham roaming started to work.

Hello, this is my personal/pet project of getting CM7 on the Photon. Now you are not risking SJ's second coming by flashing.

Not related to mrinehart93's efforts in any way. I'm basing myself on pure CM7 and pure Motorola sources.
The GSM lock has been confirmed as being in the Radio component. Sad.

- Fix found for Youtube: set the proxies to 0.0.0.0 and the proxy ports to 0 in the build.prop. The specific properties will have to be software-modified down the road. A wifi-events-listener app will need to be programmed for proxy switching on wifi too.
