Instructions for GT-S6802 Ace DUOS and not for S5830
Warning:Although there's not much risk, but I will not be responsible if any update got your phone bricked

Requirement
  • Glaxy ACE Duos S6802
  • Shap eyes

Rooting enables you to take full mobile backup. Some apps (many) require root access.:)

Procedure
  1. Download update.zip from below
  2. Copy it to your phone's /sdcard
  3. Turn off your phone and after the final vibration, press 3 button combo [Volume UP+HOME+Power] this will boot your phone to recovery mode
  4. select second option - 'install update from sdcard' [use volume up-down to navigate and HOME button to select]
  5. select 'update.zip'
  6. And you are DONE! cheers :)
  7. Select reboot

UnRoot
Rooting voids manufacturer warranty, if you want to reclaim it unroot your phone.

  • Download unroot.zip and place it in /sdcard
  • Reboot in recovery mode [3-button combo]
  • select 'unroot.zip'
  • Reboot, Done
if this doesn't work rename 'unroot.zip' to 'update.zip' and try again

I think this shouldnt be posted in S5830 Galaxy Ace forum as Galaxy Duos's hardware is difference from ours.
Btw, flashing a custom room doesn't need root access.

I've GT 7500 abd problems too. if I reopen, the file but never end.
write this too:
signature verification failed install package 2

in order to make any kind of changes you have to read carefully the instructions and follow step by step! have you seen any step where it says the you have to unzip? no! so you dont unzip

I put the update.zip in the /sdcard
Booted to recovery mode
Chose second option
Chose file 'update.zip'

and it gave this error

It worked perfectly :thumbup: , but Superuser needs to be updated..

Hello, I bought the model 6802B, is the same phone just in different bands, my question is, the root functions to this model regardless of their bands? the 6802 works its 3G bands 900/2100 and 6802B 3G bands are 850/2100, that affect anything? or I can install?

Worked both for me but problem is that my phone was slowed down after rooting is there any way to make it fast?

    I'm also not sure if it is possible to get rid of that feature changing something in the phone settings. What is clear for me is that rooting the phone will not get that feature out.
