[Q] HTX One X unable to update

HI,

I have a UK T-mobile HTC One X (including ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.4.0)

I recieved a new OS update but my phone wont update.

After downloading the new update, the phone resets to ClockworkMod and sais the following message:

Finding update package...

E:unknown volume for path (INTERNALSDCARDownload/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_TMO_UK_3.16.110.4 - 2.17.110.5_release_303009j49q3ffsfq4gc0ad.zip)

E: Can't mount INTERNALSDCARDownload/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_TMO_UK_3.16.110.4 - 2.17.110.5_release_303009j49q3ffsfq4gc0ad.zip

Installation Aborted

When i try to install from Clockworkmod the message reads:

E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed.
Installation aborted

So i then toggle so the Signiture Check is disabled and try to install again. However, the message reads:

Assert failed: Check_cid (getprop("ro.cid"). "00000000 "1111111" "22222222" "33333333" "444444444" "55555555" "66666666" "77777777" "88888888" "99999999" "T-MOB005") == "t"

E: Error in /sdcard/download/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_TMO_UK_3.16.110.4 - 2.17.110.5_release_303009j49q3ffsfq4gc0ad.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted

Now i'm really stuck. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You need the stock recovery for your cid....also you don't need signature check ...just flash in fastboot the stock recovery of your cid...then boot again and try to update it again

Thanks, where would i find the correct stock recovery for my CID?

Google is the easiest way...just type in Google stock recovery for HTC one x for CID (and then your cid or instead of that main version is possible too)...there will be links to xda or any other forums where the files are

If your current rom is 2.17..... just try with this stock recovery <<< http://d-h.st/yDf >>>
