Same here. After a few weeks the extra space is gone. How can Dropbox know, who really has a samsung phone and who not?

A friend with the galaxy note edge got 50gb db space. Maybe there is a way to emulate the note edge?

-Open the Dropbox app - Click Menu -> Settings -> Sign out from Dropbox
- Go to your phone's main Settings application
- Tap on 'Apps' and then locate the Dropbox app
- Choose the option to Uninstall Updates
- Shut down your phone. Make sure your device is completely powered off for five minutes
- Power on your device
- Reopen the Dropbox app
- Reenter your Dropbox account details when prompted.2
