Not sure why, but I am not able to flash this rom, it is stuck in recovery.
I downloaded the latest vanir_hallon_4.4.2.032714.zip, and flashed the kernel, but it is not actually loading the recovery.
at the bottom of the screen it is displaying one line of text "CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.7" and in the center of the screen showing the icon of ROM manager. Nothing else is loaded, I waited for almost 5 minutes.

Can you please advise what am I doing wrong?

Connect in fastboot and do this.. Fastboot erase system and fastboot erase userdata... Then try booting into recovery...

Can anyone help? Why is the ringtone and notification all sounds the same? It's just one simple "ding" and that's it, no more sound. Audio is working correctly for me in other apps. Strange. I have reflashed 2 times and it still does that.

    Welcome to VanirAOSP.
    Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..

    What to expect:
    - This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
    - maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
    - originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
    - aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion :p

    @deccen90 did you flash kernel trough existing recovery of preavious kernel( if yes what kernel was it, can i do it from freexperia cm 10 kernel ?) o rdid you flash kernel trough fastboot with flashtool?
    tnx
    No 2011/2010 Sony device can flash kernel through cwm recovery we have to flash kernel using flashtool , what I mean to say is that KitKat kernel has different kind of partition size so I'm wiping two times before flashing kernel and after flashing kernel to overcome few problems like 100℅ battery stuck unable to flash few ROMs like that :)

    Ok, just a small modification and you will be ready to go.

    Open your ROM zip, Goto Meta inf > com > google > android > Updator-script and open it .
    it will look like this,

    assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "MT11i" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "MT11i" ||
    getprop("ro.product.device") == "MT11a" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "MT11a" ||
    getprop("ro.product.device") == "haida" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "haida" || abort("This package is for \"MT11i,MT11a,haida\" devices; this is a \"" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "\"."););
    mount("yaffs2", "MTD", "system", "/system");
    package_extract_file("system/bin/backuptool.sh", "/tmp/backuptool.sh");
    package_extract_file("system/bin/backuptool.functions", "/tmp/backuptool.functions");
    set_perm(0, 0, 0777, "/tmp/backuptool.sh");
    set_perm(0, 0, 0644, "/tmp/backuptool.functions");
    run_program("/tmp/backuptool.sh", "backup");
    unmount("/system");
    show_progress(0.500000, 0);
    format("yaffs2", "MTD", "system", "0", "/system");
    mount("yaffs2", "MTD", "system", "/system");
    package_extract_dir("system", "/system");

    "/system/xbin/adjtimex", "/system/xbin/arp", "/system/xbin/
    .
    .
    .
    and so on.
    .

    just edit it to make it look like this, in short remove the first line (assert line), save it and flash it,
    it will go through now.
