My phone fell from my hand and it cracked! Just below the translucent panel? The body had developed a crack!
Can I get out repaired or replaced? Any cost estimates?

That is definitely a fragile part of the phone. My one has an ugly dent. Shouldn't be too costly as it is a separate part of the body. Take it and ask. And it would be grateful if you could tell us how much it cost you

Isnt that the part below the translucent panel that has XPERIA written on it? I read somewhere that its removable as it is just press fitted onto the main body.

if it is a replacement, why to wait for 15 days? cant they replace immediately?
Because i dont have any other micro sim phone to use my sim card for the time being.

Get a microsim adapter to use your micro sim in other phones.

It takes time to send the device to head office, check, approved for replacement, getting a replacement set, sending back to the service center..
Moreover, micro SIM is usable in normal phones too... I use the same micro SIM on my LG, Samsung device

Hi,
I just updated to this (.75)version nd believe me the touch sensitive buttons responding nicely now apart from tht no noticeable change observed as for now ;-)

hmm thanks for the info, if approved for replacement, should i need to give all the accessories with the box? Because some of the accessories received were with the "Early Bird" offer. Then will i get the extra accessories again aftr replacement.[The offer was for the first 1000 customers i guess]

I believe only sending the handset will do. The box stays with you. Don't know Sony's policy but other companies do the same thing.

Touch button responsiveness has improved and it seems to be a substantial update in that respect

I tried with PC companion and keeps saying that my phone is uptodate with .73 FW

Only phone.... Not accessories. There nothing called early bird my friend.

Ah ! Yes I was on Central Europe verdion .73 FW maybe thats d reason I got this update. Hmmm.... Now I wonder how could India get the update so early :-/

U need to first install some other countries firmware mine was Central Europe 1 this was recommended by the person who made the thread named FIRMWARE AND ROOT there is collection of .ftf files install the CE1 and then connect to pc companion u will then get this update. Make sure u install the generic or stock and not the rooted a FW. Hope that helps

ok thanks for info, but on my box there is a sticker of early bird offer where i get free 50gb cloud space on BOX* and rs 4000 worth accessories[car chargr,nfc,hdmi and pouch]
