Dear Patric,
You mentioned in one of your replies to me that i should make a clean installation in my next attempt...
So i am planning to change my kernel to faux's one and since i am all in.flashing again i decided to re flash arhd&rom cleaner...
What is the best way to make "clean installation"? I am sure this is not really related to rom cleaner but i feel comfertable with your guideance...
Thanx in advance...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
A clean install is always a clean install, no junk in the system etc.
I always super wipe when flashing a new ROM even if there is just a small update
But I do use all addon scripts so it takes me less then 20min to be up n' running again...
How ever to perform a "clean install":
Download
Latest ARHD ROM
Latest Super Wipe script
Kernel of choice with modules. (make sure it is repacked for ARHD)
ROMCleaner_X.zip
ROMCleaner_user.txt from X version (Edit this file with notepad++ so it will fit your demands, then copy it to /sdcard/ROMCleaner if you don't have a folder called "ROMCleaner" just create it and copy the file to it)
Optional, Backup Tool
Optional, Setup Wizard Remover
Optional, Settings Restorer
Move all files except the repacked Boot.img to your sdcard
Reboot in to bootloader and:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
Now reboot in to recovery and make a nandroid backup.
Optional, flash Backup Tool
Flash Super Wipe
Flash ROM
Flash Modules.zip from the kernel developer
Flash ROM Cleaner (if you flashed Backup Tool, all user apps (not data) will be restored)
Reboot
Follow the setup wizard, and log in at Google. Let it finish the syncing.
Optional,
Now if you wish to restore, Wifi keys, BT devices, htc mail settings and HTC Launcher.
Open a file explorer and go to /sdcard/ROMCleaner/Backup and remove Accounts.tar, normally you shouldn't do this step but since you had sync issues I think it's best that you let Google restore your preferred sync settings...
When this is done, reboot in to recovery and flash:
HTC Setup Wizard Remover
Optional, Settings Restorer
Reboot
Done!
