Hi all, I've been without a Desire for about a year now.

When I was using it last the most popular roms seemed to be:

Oxygen, Leedroid and Cm7

Has this changed - what are people using these days?!

Thanks!

i am using miui xj. xavierjohn22´s rom. it is very fast and smooth.
internal memory 1.9 gb
quadrant standard result: always more than 1400

you can make screenshots by press and holding power button, select "screenshot" and shaking the phone. it is very easy. see file i have attached.

I had Desire for 1.5 year, like 3 days ago I bought new HTC EVO 3D(S-OFF) and my "old" Desire has my wife now... but the ROM which I had last, was Runnymede AIO V4.0.3 Special Edition, NICE! ... before I was running on Salvonds ICS build, CM7 stable, and other... but as I said, no doubt about quality of Runnymede ;)

I personally have been using CM7 until two months ago. Now I'm using MIUI XJ.

+1 for Mildwild. Its fast, simplistic, very very slick. You will do good to find a better rom than this.

Sent from under my bed using HTC Mildwild

+1 for Mildwild using coloured addition. Its the fastest rom I've used for the desire(based on Oxygen). looks great without the slowness of sense.

Yea it is one of those that i had in mind, the problem is, i went trough the htc desire thread and i was lost with all that data++ and other addons that i dont like. I also found the thread with stock roms, yet those unroot you. What i didn't find, is stock rom that would not unroot my phone. I was searching for something stable, optimized stock rom or something. You got any suggestions? Or a direct link to the rom you had in mind?

guide in my sig by Mr.Mefisto and go down to rooted stock roms

You mustn't compare sense .35 kernels with AOSP kernels. .35 AOSP kernels are really old, but a few of us still use them as we think them better on battery life and SD card trasnfer.

.35 sense kernels are much newer. It is not the same .35

You're going to have to live with your sd card speed if you want to stay on AOSP roms.

I'm using MIUI right now. I like so much :D

I'm using MIUI from yesterday and I found it really nice and smooth and fast buutt, there is a big BUT :(. I cannot copy files to my sdcard using the usb cable faster than 1.5 - 2 MB/s and it is really annoying. Before MIUI I used to play with supernova and copying to and from the sdcard was amazing. Up to 10 mb/s.
