[ROM][GB][2019.11.07]MS2Ginger, AROMA, 720p .....

Hi, Walter (and everyone else who could help). Yesterday I flashed Quarx and Epsylon's builds of CM9 in order to check it out. Of course, it's not ready for a dayly runner and I am back to MS2. However, after flashing CM9's boot.img, it also changed my splashscreen (the red M logo) to CM's one. After a lot of reading, I have found a way to change the splashscreen to a still image, but can't find out how can I create an animated one (like the beating red M). Any help would be appreciated. Also... what tool do I need to open (unpack) boot.img?

Hello everyone.
If I install the "MS2Ginger 2.1 - Multilanguage Editon Blur (for red lense Defy)" on my red lensed Defy I would still be able to get back to official Froyo for warranty issues right?
And the danger would be only if I' would make the mistake of flashing a Full SBF with the 2.3 kernel?
Thanks in advance for replies, and sorry for my somewhat dumb questions, but I wanna make sure I won't have problems with the warranty if it would ever be the case.

That's exactly how I changed it now, but it only allows to put a still picture, not an animated splashscreen.

Flash 2.1, install Root Explorer, go to /system/framework and DL framework-res.apk - all wallpapers are inside. Then flash 3.0, do the same with its framework-res.apk

After you have both framework-res.apk's, you can transfer the wallpapers and whatever other icons that you want from one to another and then put back the correct apk file in /system/framework

Just open both of them in WinRar and drag and drop.

i had a problem with FP version.. couldn't install greenbread mod..

was getting error E: can't mount log something(don't remember exactly)

i started everything from the scratch.

but when i tried installing 4.5.2-109-DHT-22.. it was almost perfect..

just the soft keys back light won't turn off after installing green bread mod.

Yesterday, when i had problems with the flashing of the NG, i flashed the ms2ginger 2.1. Today i wanted to have a call, but when i was at the contacts, i had an fc. When i click on a contact, the .android contacts fc-s every time, i had to download a go contacts. But that was the first time when i get this error. I dont know, whats with me. I cant flash any of msginger versions. But i do the steps on the first page. I wiped everything, flashed the kernel, then restored msginger, do the advenced restores and flashed the fixes. I dont know, what can cause these errors for me. I have red lense defy. When i wanted to flash the NG, i flashed the msginger 2.1 completely, with the fixed fsb kernel and then, i advenced restore only the NG system. And it was not worked for me. Somebody please write a perfect step by step guide, to what should i flash and how should i flash, bacause i dont know, whats the problem.

even i had the same problem with ms2ginger 2.1 but it was a green lens.

No, new camera libs for soc camera will not work.

I talked with quarx he told me this libs are for omap2. Defy has omap 3.

if you know which rom has the logo you want, just flash that rom and then nandroid restoring back to the rom you're on currently. that's how i do it to get the logo i want. i'm currently on wiui but with the logo from barebones cm7, the orange small M at the left with the word motorola on the right

btw, can you tell me which rom has the pumping red M. i'm interested too

edit: alternatively, don't know if it works for animated logo, if you have a nandroid backup of a rom with the animated logo, try advanced nandroid restore the logo.img from that.

I was stock tim 2.3.6 and restored system only 3.0 NG Preview. it was working nice.

i restored 3.0NG RC system only and stuck on defy animation. what can i do?
