4 - Extract boot.img from CHN rom that you can find in sammobile.
5 - "Tar it"
6 - Install boot.tar via odin. Now you won't have wifi.
7 - Copy the following files from CHN stock rom. To copy this files you have obviously to extact them. You may use, I think Toldo won't be mad, his stock rom's Zipaligned, deodexed.....
/system/lib/modules/dhd.ko
/system/lib/modules/scsi_wait_scan.ko
/system/lib/modules/tcrypt.ko
/system/bin/wlandutservice
/system/bin/wpa_supplicant

I did this based off of the latest available rom at samfirmwares (Czech - P7500XWMPJ_P7500XEZMP1_XEZ):
0. Flashed czech rom with odin (I already had that one)
1. Flashed boot.img from china rom with odin.
2. Replaced czech's /system/lib/modules/* and /system/bin/wpa_supplicant with china's (wlandutservice happened to be exactly the same). I actually used ext4utils to build a new system.img so that I can reflash it with odin on multiple tabs.
But, still no wifi...
When trying to turn wifi on, wpa_supplicant complains with:
Code:
Could not read interface wlan0 flags: No such device
Any idea why?
Yea yeah, I know I can just flash chn + steiffmeister. But I'm trying to figure out what the minimum changes to get rid of the deepsleep bug are.
EDIT: Ok, nevermind, I messed up copying files over from one firmware to the other. The steps described by Phibs DO work. Now I have a czech + china mashup rom with working wifi and the tab deepsleeps like a baby so far. I'll be posting a new thread with an odin-ready rom in case it help others.
EDIT 2: Here is a link to my odin-ready rom that fixes the deepsleep issue. Based on the czech rom + china boot.img: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2219964
