This appears to be a problem with apps that use overlay/floating stuff, like screen filter. Not sure why hehe...
I am loving Halo, aaronpoweruser, do we get an update to Halo 6? its been nearly a week.
I remember some guys saying that halo is not or not running well with tablet ui. So switch for a test to phone or phablet. If that doesn't help try a fresh install. For me it's working fine...but it's an alpha version. Maybe i'm just lucky.

Running Franco Kernel #61 - downloaded via Franco Kernel app. Latest gaps and 14th May build of PA. Downloaded Halo app from Play store and added a few commonly used apps. Works like a charm.
All working in Tablet UI as well.

I've mentioned in this thread a number of times before. You need to press and hold the Halo circle, move it to the X. At this point, you will be able to click on the "install" button. After installation is completed, pull down the notification bar again and click on the Halo circle to start it.
Apparently, this is a feature.

about the apk / Halo issues when run together: I tried to install apk with ES File Manager and it works like a charm, even with Halo enabled. I'm pretty sure that also other file manager could solve the issue!

sorry didn't change "true" to "false" while building Preferences. replace ParanoidPreferences.apk with the previous 14 May's one, i'm gonna re-up build with the right one, thanks for pointing it out

18Ok I finaally found the bug the build on goo is good to go. For those of you that care it was this commit from almost a month ago https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid/android_vendor_pa/commit/f175f9edb7d25f11281c4be87961473fc5b1fcc0 i checkout out the gnex repos to do some testing last week, and it end up overwriting the broacom lib library, and due to the way i have my repos set up(dependent on grouper folder) compared to the muppets some libs got copied over some didnt. Sorry it took so long to find. I didnt realize what was happening as our repos didnt change16
