When trying to turn on wifi in "Wireless & networks" i get "turning on... ERROR"

Marvel, jmz kernel


UPD: It seems like HTC Clock didn't installed at all. When I tap on Clock widget - nothing happens, it doesen't linking to Clock app. With any HTC clock widget.

mindhax... kernel + HTC Clock app was checked in AROMA + reinstalled twice

Don't uninstall any HTC apps and try again, make sure you wipe data prior to installation.

Hi benjamin,
i have a little problem, when I install from aroma (even using advanced method, and it did it with all the previous releases too) it install but then at the end it says installer status 0 and when I try to boot it will get into bootlops not even getting any other logo than the standart HTC Logo
EDIT: Added install log /the attached one is when I also fixed permissions and I do not change anything i just click nex next except for install method which I choose advanced)

I see that it failed to mount : /dev/block/mtdblock3 on /system and /dev/block/mtdblock5 on /data but dunno how to fix it

what ?? i have decoded that and opened all m10 files , but still couldn't find any pics for stuff displayed of anykind , also , good point , this clock is built for 3D rosie in sense 3.0+ (discluding our sense which is more like a modified version of 2.1) ...


@Ben , anything about Data2sd ? also these previous bugs :
1- when pressing copy for a text , it writes " No SIM card inserted " instead of "copied" .
2- Mis-recognition of the device as mobile for some websites including Facebook , and somehow Google ...

Are they still there ?

Hey Benjamin,

I have installed .sense 3 times this morning, the first time with JMZ's kernel and removed some of the stock HTC bits, the rom installs great and seems to work except for the wifi (when enabling wifi "turning on" flashed for about .25 of a second and then "error")

The second install was with the stable kernel, again I removed some of the htc bits I didn't want, it installed and again no wifi (same as 1st install.)

The 3rd install was with JMZ's kernel and left all of the htc stuff in with the same no wifi result.

All 3 times I wiped cache, delvik cache, wiped battery stats, then factory reset before installing. I saved install logs for all 3 installs and have attached them.

Any direction will be greatly appreciated with this issue, and I will happily perform any further trouble shooting you would request of me.

Hey benjamin, I must know what was the ROM base you choose for the devicesupport on HERO

Because I have many things to tweak to make this boot and there are issues on our devices that you just cannot be aware of like apps2SD and compcache

So, if you have time, let me know via this thread, the hero thread, PM or see you on irc

Hey Benjamin,

Any chance to this ROM working for the Wildfire (Buzz, not S)? Our forum is really lacking developers and the Sense 3.5 ROM that we have needs resizing mania. I tried resizing myself, but all I get is errors while trying to re-compile :(

    Installation instructions
    0. Make sure you have custom recovery installed.
    1. Copy or download .sense onto your phone
    2. Enter HBOOT by removing the battery, reinserting it, pressing and holding the down power key and pressing power for 2 seconds at the same time.
    3. Click recovery using the volume up and down keys for moving and power for select
    4. Backup everything in recovery (backup and restore -> backup)
    6. Delete everything, this won't erase your music, photos or videos on your SD Card. (wipe data/factory reset)
    5. Install it (choose zip from SD card)
    6. Set up .sense using the on screen instructions and recommend options above.
    7. Reboot and setup .sense!

    A <3 to <3 post.....

    Updates...

    Okay so myself, jmztaylor and bigbearevo have been in an IRC chat for days now, talking about bug fixes, improvements and tests for this ROM.

    jmz ran through the updating code and found some bugs, he then uploaded the fixed version, he also allowed his kernel to be distributed with .sense

    bigbear has been helping me test things, sent me APK's and has recommended some really cool tweaks and has been nice and helpful to me with this ROM.

    When I upload this ROM if it wasn't for them you probably wouldn't have this beta.. So click thanks and if you got a few spare $'s, £'s or euros (I couldn't find the button on my keyboard for the euro symbol lol) then please donate to them if they accept it. I would, but I'm poor hehe :D

    .sense will be uploaded to goo-inside.me first, people will then mirror it after.

    .sense beta will be a universal ROM that will run on any of the 3 devices, meaning on one download of the ROM is needed.

    Please after this point no more arguing, I apologize to Thrawed for my rude PM and my outrages behaviour on the thread.

    I want to make every user of my ROM happy, so please tell me if there is anything you want me to add, improve or fix. But look around first ;)

    These people are good people. But a melody to one can be a scream to another.

    An example would be: I found bigchillin's first statement to be fine, but he later claimed himself that he was being harsh.

    On a slighly MORE AMAZING note...

    "dotSense_marvel_alpha_build32" has been renamed to "dotsense_marvel_alpha_rc1"

    That means expect it soon.

    As for the salsa... "dotsense_salsa_experimentalbuilds_build1" is sitting on my desktop on my new Ubuntu 12.04 install running on my sweet i5 powered laptop.

    I would probably say... Tomorrow at the least. That's your eta.. notice the E means estimated. That means I'm guessing I find no bugs. That means it won't be tomorrow if I can't get it out. I'm just clearing that up for you guys.

    If its Saturday, 11:59 at night where you are and I appear to not be posting any updates then think about time zones. I'm in Cardiff, Wales. That's in the UK, in Europe, on earth. Time zone GMT 0.
