This is a good ROM, I've build NEO ROM by taking Arc S ROM from miui-dev and even though I add persist.sys.usb.config=mass_storage,adb in build.prop, itl's not working and this ROM has LED setting Good job and keep up!

Try rebooting after installing the rom, everything seems much smoother to me after reboot..

I'm not sure I like the whole miui concept yet but I'm going to try it for a few days
Let the rom settle down & after 2-3 hrs & 3-4 reboots , u may feel the speed. So have some patience.
For me: everything is ok. In first hour I also have some launcher lag problem. But using the phone for 2-3 hrs & I make 4-5 reboots, everything is fine now.

Just downloaded a theme: anna theme , & applied successfully.

That is how proximity sensor works i guess....Whenever we bring our phone near to our ear, the sensor senses the lighting change, and turns off the screen to avoid unintentional touches, similar would be the effect when we wave our hand on the sensor
and for the headset, i think its again for the same reason, to avoid touches when phone is in pocket etc...So its OK
it has to be that way...you have problems then lock the screen bro..

Lol... expectations never tend to cease..
its a human tendency to ask or rather crave for more
you have done a great job with the rom.. but sometimes the concept of miui bounces over my heead..lol...

About that, it used to work before for me mate till ver 2.5.11. And it is probably calibration problem.

So far I couldn't restore my backup from 2.6.1 and sms led notification works only when screen's on... I use recommended kernel without any mods of rom (@ZduneX25: Did you compile this ROM in some specific way? Cause apk's from 2.6.8 ver of MIUI for LT18i won't work).

sure, actually i cant make flashable zip, so i was trying to contact OP.
anyway...............
i just replaced the two files from stock ics 431 with proper permission with root explorer.
system/bin/akmd8975
system/bin/sensorservice
& reboot.

This miui bases on Official final ICS (.587), so do not expect more than from official semc ics. Some apps are still from official semc rom (e.g. Radio) do not delete them, cause you may get FC's or loose features. Works with locked and unlocked bootloaders as well.
