Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: After flashing the Rom it stays in bootloop and doesn't want to start. What can I do?
A: Flash the kernel (boot.img). How to flash the boot.img: HERE

Q2: After flashing Elegancia my battery drains. What can I do?
A: Wait a couple of battery cycles, you will see that Elegancia has been built to have the best battery management possible !

Q3: I have some strange issues with my ROM that nobody reported before. What should I do in first place?
A: In first place you should check, if the MD5 Checksum is correct. Then flash ROM again and see if the issue is gone. A lot of strange issues can be solved this way.

Q4: There is a Rom update. Do I need to Full Wipe or flash again the kernel?
A: Unless it is specifically indicated in our changelog, there is no need to Full wipe and/or flash the kernel. Just place the Rom.zip in your SD Card and flash it using your recovery. If you don't choose Full Wipe, all your applications and your own set-up will be preserve during the flashing process !

Q5: I can't send/receive MMS or I can't connect with mobile data connection. How can I fix it?
A: Please check your MMS settings or mobile data connection APN settings.

Q6: When I listen to music from HTC stock player it accidentally pauses for short time and then keep playing.
A: Turn OFF fastboot in settings.

Q7: My GPS signal is very weak or GPS is not working at all. How can I fix it?
A: There are some solutions:
1. You can download and install FasterFix to improve your signal strength.
2. You can download and install GPS Status & Toolbox to manage your GPS settings.
3. Turn off "Fast boot" under "Settings" ---> "Power" and reboot your phone.

Q8: My clock/weather widget doesn't show my location. How can I fix it?
A: Please clear data from Google Maps, Clock Widget, Weather, HTC weather sync provider and Weather Provider.

Q9: My Quadrant score is not so high. What does it mean?
A: It means absolutely nothing. Benchmarks on Devices with Tegra3 doesn't work as they are not meant for this kind of CPU.
Furthermore, benchmarks on Android System are lottery and they are not showing the real system performance. Elegancia has been built with the idea of providing the best performance to end user, it is fast, stable and smooth !

Q10:I have com.htc.bgc process force close few times a day. How can I fix it?
A: It's because you have removed HtcTwitter.apk (HTC Twitter application). Please restore it.

Q11: My Wi-Fi doesn't reconnect automatically after boot. How to fix it?
A: Disable fastboot in settings.

Q12: My tethering doesn't connect/work . How to fix it?
A: Go to Settings, Mobile Network, Access point names & select ATT PTA, Reboot & Enjoy !
If you don't see the ATT PTA access point then you have to reset to default and the ATT PTA Access point will show up: HERE

Q13: Several HTC widgets are missing. How to fix it?
A1: Go to Settings->Apps->All->Search for 'HTC Sense' and tap on 'Clear data'.

2 ways to flash boot.img:

a) use the Kernel flasher posted in our download section, unrar and double click on start while your phone is on fastboot USB
b) extract the boot.img from the Rom.zip and use the commend in fastboot "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

To keep all your settings and app, just do not wipe in the Aroma installation process. You will be asked during the installation

I've downloaded the stock look and the themed rom twice. none of the MD5s match. Anyone else?

I got lazy and never checked the MD5 for the blue themed ROM and it flashed just fine.

Digging it so far.

This is as smooth as stock and looks much better I noticed the stock has % is that mod available for for the themed as well and if so could you be so kind to throw it in the OP, thx love the work!
