Philz Recovery 6.25.x is Recommended! Don't use 6.41.x!
* Make a nandroid backup
* Make sure your device is ♦UNLOCKED♦
* Download ROM and put it on internal sdcard
* Put device in bootloader mode
- - (Power+Volume Down if device off. If on, Power+Volume Up and soon as screen goes black switch from Volume Up to Volume Down)
* Enter Recovery and do Clean To Install A New Rom(wipe system/data/cache/dalvik)
* Find in Recovery "Choose zip from sdcard" choose Rom zip file
* Proceed steps that Aroma installer gives
* Reboot device after finishing installation
* Select "No" to install recovery prompt if given
* Follow setup wizard and enjoy!

Loving this ROM! First one I installed on phone a couple days ago and no desire for anything else. Perfectly smooth and stable and getting even better battery life then stock! Thank you for all your hard work.

Just to be clear:

No HTC mods at all? Swipe up to unlock, double tap, photo edit, etc?

I can re-flash a Sense ROM after this?



I really like the stock experience but I do enjoy the Sense motion features.

If its the google edition rom from htc one m8 then it should still hsve the motion gestures like double tap to wake and stuff

Performance wise how does this compare to the Google play edition conversion? I ask because the gpe has been pretty smooth for me with antutu scores above 36000 and with great battery life. The only downside of the gpe conversion is that it repatriations the internal drive and it's a bit of work to convert it back to a sense rom.

I'm not sure if it's just completely going over my head, but I'm trying to theme my systemui.apk. all the other phones I've had has had it located in system/app. Doesn't seem to be the case here. What am I missing? Where should I look for it?

Not sure why you quoted me, but as far as I know, I'm pretty sure you needed to be s-off in order to flash this rom. I'm just getting back into the android game, so my knowledge is a bit rusty. Surely someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong.

Systemui.apk is in /system/priv-app
They moved it there starting with KitKat ^^

Side note: this op is heinously out of date and I need to update it, we're on version 3.0.1 in the international forum and I have my own kernel for it too I made, that's why none of the links here work. Will try and get to it tomorrow ^^

    Philz Recovery 6.25.x is Recommended! Don't use 6.41.x!
    * Make a nandroid backup
    * Make sure your device is ♦UNLOCKED♦
    * Download ROM and put it on internal sdcard
    * Put device in bootloader mode
    - - (Power+Volume Down if device off. If on, Power+Volume Up and soon as screen goes black switch from Volume Up to Volume Down)
    * Enter Recovery and do Clean To Install A New Rom(wipe system/data/cache/dalvik)
    * Find in Recovery "Choose zip from sdcard" choose Rom zip file
    * Proceed steps that Aroma installer gives
    * Reboot device after finishing installation
    * Select "No" to install recovery prompt if given
    * Follow setup wizard and enjoy!

    If s-on, you must have just flashed the GPE ROM (did not do a "full" GPE conversion). So just flash a stockish Sense ROM that corresponds to your firmware (hboot, radio).
