This is ROM made with dsixda and his kitchen and based on the latest official from HTC
This ROM is pre-rooted, with busybox, bash and has been the /system/apps and /system/framework files have been deodexed.

If you install a rom using a different base from your current rom then a full wipe is recommended, but if it is listed as optional then it's your choice! However if a full wipe is not mandatory, you are still going to want to reboot into recovery and clean cache and clear dalvik cache before installing the new rom build. In addition if a full wipe is recommended and you did not do one and you are experiencing problems that other users are not reporting then please do a full wipe before reporting any problems in the thread.

Formatting your SD card is always a must, to do so a nice tool is available permitting to optimize them. Using generic formatting utilities may result in less than optimal performance for your memory cards.

This is a good time to back up your new rom as all apps have been installed and your accounts setup. Restore your data/settings using EXT4 with restore Data from previous nandroid. But be aware that you need to go to Settings > Security > tick Unknown sources before restoring any data. Please be advised that you should never restore data from a different base ROM as this is likely to cause problems and lead to instability.

MOD's:


- Do I need to wipe data partition when upgrading from old version of ICE DS?
I always recommend wiping data partition but it's absolutely necessary only if I mention that in the changelog. But normally you can live without it.
Wipe data partition if you experience any issues.

- I have some strange issues with my ROM that nobody reported before. What should I do in first place?
In first place you should check, if the MD5 Checksum is correct. Then flash ROM again and see if the issue is gone. A lot of strange issues can be solved this way.

- I am new to Desire S what do I need to do to get your rom running on my device?
If you are coming from a stock rom there are many requirements, but first of all you need to S-off your device and you will also need a custom recovery....Look HERE for a guide on how to do this. Should your device have a newer hboot version then unfortunately this guide will not work and for now the only option available can be found HERE. ICE DS ROM have the 4EXT custom recovery included, but for initial setup purposes please follow the guide.
In order to install an ICS based rom you will most likely have to update your device's firmware.

- How do I flash FULL Wipe DS and what does it erase?
Copy the FULL_Wipe_DS.zip to the SD Card and flash it via recovery. DO NOT REBOOT, flash the ROM immediately. The FULL Wipe DS will erase data, cache, system and format in EXT4 partition.

- I have small MMS or I can't send MMS or SMS?
First thing to do is to check your APN settings.... Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

- What is the difference between ultra-smooth and super-smooth rosie?
Super smooth mode ONLY has 3D widgets on the home page whereas Ultra Smooth removes 3D widgets from ALL pages.

- Front camera not work.
Front camera can dont work in first start. You need start Camera.apk again and choose front camera mode.

- WiFi connection not work.
You must flash kernel again (amidabuddha kernel from recovery or use adb if you have S-on)
