Hmmm, it's good to know i'm not the only one.... Can anybody think why this could be; the phone doen't wake up imediatelly when i press the power button but takes no more than a second, but when i recieve a call, even if it rings for a while the phone still won't wake up and what's worse, once the call is over i can no longer wake the phone.....

Is there any logic to this that might make us come up whith a fix???

I have the same problem too. Also I have a terrible phone lag. If I call myself from another phone it takes about 10 seconds till my HD register incoming call. At that time the speker just make a sound like if you turn some speakers, it is just silent "plop". After 3-4 more seconds the melody starts to play. And if the phone is off it freeze. When I hang the other phone my HD is still playing for 6-10 more seconds. Than I have to reboot anyway as it is frozen.

The wakeup problem has been there for a long time, not only this build.
It is probarbly the kernel that is causing this.

I can't seem to change my keyboard. Holding my finger on a text entry window doesn't bring up the SIP change menu. I installed the other keyboard package on the root of my SDcard too.

go to options then go to something like keyboard options(i don't know,i have the italian version)

After you installed the keyboard go to the home page.

In the google search field, you first have to type a letter. Then you have to tap and hold on the search field. Now you can change keyboard.

Just tried the latest rootfs.
Data connection was instable at first but started working nicely after a while.
Will try hw3d next.
I was wondering btw, does this build have a deep sleep like the eclair build? And what are you guys getting in tems of battery life?

I use Raph800 and battery life is pretty bad but I am running winmo, touchflo3d still. Im guessing that I shouldn't be running all of these :x

I get the message "The charging current is not enough for device power consumption. Please switch to AC adapter." It is plugged in to the AC adapter!

This message is due to the "battery fake" command added to the startup text. If you don't want this message and don't want your phone to permanently think it's charging, delete this part from the statup text.

To up the battery life, be sure to close apps before sleeping the phone. I can squeeze about 8-16 hours normal use out of my overclocked raph800.

I don't think I have that in my startup.txt. I am using the startup.txt I used with Eclair. My phone doesn't constantly show that it is charging. Only when I plug it in.

He included a new keyboard app in the androidapps folder for this reason. You need to go to your Android settings -> Language & keyboard
Turn on AnySoftKeyboard.

You also have winmo and touchflo still? Does overclocking hurt the battery life much?

    Hi
    I downloaded the 3 files.
    -eclairhero.user.conf
    -rootfs.img
    -system.sqsh

As I understand I use a haret.exe and startup.txt file from another build?
But what modules/zimage do I use?

the conf file, is it suppose to be directly in root of sd card or in a conf folder?
Also do I use only one fat32 partition?
can I use swap and ext2?

    Thanks!!
    1
    Step-by-Step

I was once trying to figure this out so here is a step-by-step...as simple as I can make it:

    1) Download base package from post #1.

    2) Unzip to the root of your phone's SD card. Should look like this (image 01.jpg):
    01.jpg

    3) Go into the "STARTUP CONFIG" folder and find the STARTUP.TXT that is right for your device and move it to the root directory of the SD card. So now your root will look like this (02.jpg):
    02.jpg

    4) Download the latest system####.sqsh from post #1.

    5) Rename it to just "system.sqsh" and move it to the root of your SD card.

    6) Download the latest rootfs.img file from post #1, unzip it, rename it to "rootfs.img" if needbe and move it to the root of your SD card.

    7) Now, you will want to check out http://glemsom.users.anapnea.net/android2/ and snag the latest zimage file and module file. Unzip them and put them on the root of your SD card. You will want to rename the zimage to just "zimage" (no extention).

So, the end result of your root directory should be something like this:
    03.gif

Now, to clean things up, you can delete the "STARTUP CONFIG" directory and the "rename_androidapps_after_1st_boot".

If you have apps you want on there, you can create a folder called "AndriodApps" and throw the apps in there and it will install them during boot up.

Now, just disconnect from your computer and open up file explorer on WinMo and run Haret...you should get two short vibrations and then your cookin!!!

Keep updating steps 4, 6, and 7 as needed.

    Hope this helps!

If I forgot something, let me know and I'll update the post.
