The question is, WHAT of those two to choose? ICS Passion 13 RC1 or this one??? Please, tell me why you made your decision.

Personally, I'm more of an AOSP kinda guy. RC4.1 was a bit snappier for me. Since I don't need GPS, I'm usually on Onecosmic. Don't forget CM9 or Doc's Master. CM9 was quite good while I was on it, and Doc's looks good, too.

Usually, I'm on whatever I'm building mods for, though.

mr_psycho, you should check out CodeName Android....they are trying to put you out of a job. Most systemui tweaks build into the rom. pick and choose, go back and forth.

That's fine with me. I'll have more time to play with the Rom. lol

I was doing most of these as a way to learn more about Android, which I think I have. Still have a long way to go, though.

Any opinions on differences between 4.1 and 4.2? Flashing when I get home regardless just really curious while waiting at work. Thanks!

From the Change Log:

RC4.2

New fixed framework = wifi fix included(without blur issues)
New script to specifically set EFS permissions(hopefully fix people losing IMEI's)
Reverted back to the ICS quick search
News & Weather widget is back!
Updated modem to KB5

It's basically the same. Just minor improvements/fixes. Plus, all RC4.1 mods work the same.

Full wipe and flashed -- constant bootloop. Get a screen with the Android and some what looks like some script running, then reboots again. Nandroid back to 4.1/PassionGPS/IcyGlitch mutation....lol

Sounds like you need to flash a kernel first then reboot into recovery then flash rom.
I used Darkside Super Wipe Zip upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2 and its golden with Glitch

Use the superwipe, flash Glitch, reboot to recovery, flash 4.2, reboot, bootloops constantly. Not sure why. Wiped again, flash 4.1, flash Passion w/GPS and reboots good.

The messages when 4.2 bootloops are going by too fast to see what it's saying.

I recall the same happened to me once not too long ago and I have a cm7 nandroid so I restored it and then wiped and then flashed OC and worked
If you have cm7 laying around somewhere on your phone, try it...
This is what makes it fun and challenging at times lol

NOTICE: We apologize for the lack of updates recently, we just want to make it clear that development has under NO circumstances stopped. We are absolutely still working on this and still supporting it. Thank you for your patience.

This ROM is based directly on the source code straight from Google themselves, the way Android is meant to be. This ROM is produced by a collaboration of many different people, with the main development being done by Onecosmic himself. We strive to bring releases as often as possible and provide a stable AOSP ROM. As this is a work in progress, bugs are to be expected! Please check the known issue's before posting/reporting bugs.

If you can, please donate a small amount via paypal, we do this for fun and this is optional but it is greatly appreciated and it is a way for you to contribute. If you want us to support another Galaxy S type phone and you have an extra of it, we may consider supporting the phone if you donated it to us to work on. If you think you have a phone that we could support, PM me or any other Team ICSSGS members and we will discuss the possibility of us supporting it.

We do not support anything that is not produced by us!
