I plan on flashing this tonight but was curious why there is "No increasing ringtone" as stated in the first post? I have used that on other roms . Not a game breaker though.

Oh no problem. Increasing ringtone seems to be a common annoyance for some so I turn it off by default. If you want I can look into a revert fix but it might take me some time as I have a list of other things to do first. Shouldn't be an issue. Let me know

Well that's certainly odd! I'm going to investigate, figure out what is causing that and hopefully have a fix very soon. Sorry guys! I wish I could test this more thoroughly myself.

Hey, if you ask me it's pretty dang perfect for the first release of a blind port! I've been putting this thing through the ringer today without a single hiccup.

So it seems as though after you get through that first initial sign in error that things seem to be okay? I still want to get this figured out. I don't like there to be any sort of bugs in my releases. I'm sure it is just something simple, I just need to do more research before I start messing with things.

I am definitely glad to hear that it seems to be smooth without weird hiccups as I intended. :) battery life should hopefully be better as well, or at least above average with the tweaks I made.

Even the sign in isn't technically an error. It just has to be done manually. But after that minor "thing," I have yet to stumble upon anything. Battery life is phenomenal. First charge I'm at 60% after 6 hours with 2 hours screen time. Not bad considering I lost 10% just setting everything up.

I really appreciate your feedback. Everything helps when you do things blindly. How is smoothness and performance? I know you mentioned no hiccups. I'm assuming that means no FC's. Graphics should be crystal clear. Rendering edits were made. Just want to make sure. Oh and there is no screen flicker with included kernel A right? :) thanks!

No problem! Smoothness and performance are top notch. Every bit of scroll stuttering is gone, and everything responds instantly. Graphics do look crystal clear and very clean. I haven't noticed any screen flicker. You did an awesome job on this ROM.

Awesome!! And thank you very much i'm glad my work can be shared with more people :)

You guys should also try the Intergalactic Kernel...it's awesome. :D

http://d-h.st/UEw

That's Kernel C for those who are counting. OC/UV can be adjusted using CPU Tweaker, System Tuner, or Android Tuner by 3c. :) Badass governor is recommended along with CFQ i/o scheduler.

I plan on installing this later, as well. But I think I will wait until you can make us an increasing ringtone .zip :p. That's something I have always used and it's extremely helpful in most situations.

And can we post requests? Is it possible to request a louder volume hack? The same kind that is in Darthstalker X1?

You may post suggestions absolutely. Whether or not I'll have the time to do them is tough to tell but I'll certainly be able to look into it. Since it has been requested twice I'll definitely see about adding an increasing ringtone mod. :) I don't know about the louder volume hack though...I'm a little leary about things like that. Outputting more power means more impedance and could also possibly shorten the lifespan of the audio processor. I'll definitely look into it though. :)

Thank you! I think I will go ahead and download the ROM now and try it in a few minutes regardless of the increasing ringtone option. :victory:

And yeah I do understand your concern for the louder volume hack. Sometimes I do fear my speaker will blow out when using Darthstalker :p. The hack isn't necessary if you don't feel comfortable with it. Don't worry about it!

EDIT: Any plans for an awesome Green theme?

Oh and no plans by me for a green theme as im still trying to perfect my Intergalactic theme. It isn't done yet. but you can use morphology! AND Evewon who makes the peas and carrots theme is working on a green theme for me but I'm not sure how it is progressing.

And yes I'm probably going to pass on the audio boost because I'm really afraid of possibly shortening lifespans or breaking things. Just give me a day or two for the increasing ringtone because I have to remember how to do it. I might have it done tonight. I think I remember how to do it so it should not be too bad.

If it isn't kernel based, maybe jovy23 would be kind enough to make it flashable or post a how-to. His instructions and how-tos are really nice. :)

Please don't :p more random tweaks = less stability IMO. This thing runs amazingly well.

Increasing Ringtone Mod for those of you who want it :) Please let me know if there are any issues with it.

http://d-h.st/CVg

Thanks! I will install tomorrow :). Right now I have my phone charging after a full discharge so I'm going to leave it overnight. So far the ROM is good. Only thing I see missing that might be of some use to people, is the Network Mode (I think...or Network Type?) under mobile settings. The box to select Auto/WCDMA Only/GSM Only etc.

I also noticed that the GPS lock is somewhat slower than other ROMs I've been on. Darthstalkers GPS locked on it seemed within 2-3 seconds. This one is about 10+ seconds.

And I'm starting to notice a small amount of heat from my phone when using this ROM. I'm using the kernel that comes installed with the ROM, and I'm on the latest modem. Don't know what could be causing it, really.

But yeah that's just some feedback for you :).

Cool! Replace gps.conf from Darthstalker and tell me if that makes a difference. (don't know if he made any changes). Don't forget that the GPS data has to be redownloaded to the phone! My updater script clears ALL maps data that normally isn't cleared when you flash a ROM. I have provided different kernels because all phones react differently. Also after flash the caches must rebuild which might make it warm for the first day. Try another kernel! There are two more. Kernel C is OC/UV :) Don't forget to let them settle in for a day or two. Oh and unfortunately AT&T did not include the Network Switching for whatever reason so it is absent. Hopefully they will fix this for the 4.1.2 build when I update. You have to use dialer codes to get there in their version. Hopefully not a dealbreaker.

How's performance and smoothness?

Thanks for those suggestions, I will definitely try the gps.conf swap tomorrow and look into other kernels.

Performance seems great so far. Everything is fast. Smoothness is great as well. Experiencing no lag whatsoever so far. Will have the chance to give it a test run tomorrow. :)

Good to hear! Also it's safe to use any T-Mo kernel or AT&T kernel with this ROM (should be). Just make sure they support init.d or else the ROM's performance will not be at its peak.

    Information:
This is a stock-based ROM that I've made using UCDLK3 firmware for the US Galaxy S3. I've spent a lot of time developing this ROM making it nice and stable and using the tweaks I thought were the best for smoothness, battery life, and stability. This ROM uses a modified, optimized UCDLK3 kernel by me that includes support for init.d scripts and a few extra bells and whistles. The UV/OC kernel is also available for download (see kernel C). Original thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1969201

    Video Review (by phonetechkid):

    Features:
    • UCDLK3 Base
    • Modified and optimized UCDLK3 kernel by me
    • Extended power menu
    • Extended APN list
    • Smoothness and battery life tweaks
    • Fully de-odexed
    • Fully zipaligned
    • Bashed
    • Rooted
    • init.d script support and tweaks
    • 50% transparency notification bar (available in beta theme)
    • Black notification bar in apps and lockscreen (available in beta theme)
    • ADB support
    • Debloating
    • 23 Toggles Mod (blue)
    • Blue themed battery and notification area
    • AT&T logo removed
    • Wifi Notification removed
    • Google Now
    • S-Voice
    • Android 4.2 Keyboard ported from Nexus 4 system dump
    • Holo-Black Gmail 4.2
    • Samsung International boot animation
    • Increased group messaging size
    • Increased mms size and quality
    • Find My Mobile enabled
    • AT&T Contacts removed
    • System sounds from the Nexus 4
    • No increasing ringtone
    • Modified Samsung launcher with wallpaper scrolling and no page looping
    • SMS split removed, messages with multiple pages combined
    • Blacklisting
    • MMS slideshow removed so MMS appears threaded and individual
    • Multi SMS lock
    • Call block menu in settings
    • Many other tweaks...

    Installation Instructions:
    1. Download ROM to SD card
    2. Be sure you are on a T-Mobile-specific i999 TWRP or CWM recovery or else it will not flash! (Important if coming from a ported ROM)
    3. Reboot into recovery
    4. Do a factory reset
    5. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
    6. Wipe system
    7. Flash Rom (This process may take a minute or two)
    8. Wipe cache and dalvik cache again just to be safe
    9. Reboot and enjoy :)

    Post Installation Instructions:
    • It is HIGHLY suggested that you keep ALL Google Now cards off, verify that you are not updating your location with Google Maps (in Maps settings menu). Remember, Google Now automatically turns on your location settings to update through Google Maps, so after enabling Google Now, unless you want your location on all the time, go to Google Maps and turn it off. Your battery will thank you even more.
    • To allow custom boot animations follow the instructions in this thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=35825846#post35825846
    • If you get a Google account sign-in error after installing, there is an easy fix. Go to Menu > Settings > Accounts and Sync. Please REMOVE your current Google account and then add it again. I do not know why this happens to some people, but it doesn't seem to be ROM related. It happens on several devices including the Nexus. Removing and then re-adding your account again fixes this problem.
    • v2.8 Tethering Fix http://d-h.st/8Jz
    • You may have to sign into Google accounts manually in settings, as the initial setup screen is bypassed.

-For now, I believe most UCALH1 themes will work with this. I should also note that the keyboard I prefer is Jellybean keyboard on the play store. I think it works best with this ROM unless you really like the Samsung keyboard.

    I think you'll like it.

Finally got it flashed. Been using for about 30 mins and so far I'm really liking this. Will report after a full cycle and play with it more. :D
